You always say to make it our own…which gave me the freedom to try this one with the materials I had available instead of worrying about what I did not have at the time. I used micron pn red and pink and then used a prismacolor colorless blender on top with white gelly roll highlights. And not only did i do the gem in the middle…I did all the bigger hearts as heart shaped gemstones too. While not perfect, it made my personal heart happy. So thank you for the encouragement to try to make ourselves happy with what we have, Barbara.

Hi Amanda. Welcome to Zentangle! I highly recommenced the "Zentangle Primer" by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, the founders of Zentangle. It tells you everything that you need to know and is very easy to follow. When I started Zentangle, I bought the book "One Zentangle a Day" and followed many of those lessons. There are many great KZbin channels that I watched when I was learning. Most of all, please try to not compare your art to others who have been doing this for many years.
