in game 6 when Trump was facing the an Auch'nai Soulpriest and Sunfury Protector and chose to Kill Command the Soulpriest instead of going face when the opponent was at 12HP feels incorrect but it's hard to say given how the match played out.

Every class has cards that are absolutely overpowered based on other same mana picks in arena. Fire elemental, Savanah Highmane, Truesilver champion, water elemental, Temple enforcer, Frothling Berserker ,Druid of the claw, Flame imp... but im pretty sure that Fire ely and Highmane are the best based on value.

37:40 A very non-trump-y but possibly better play would be to kodo, shoot the face and kill command the face... the soulpriest prevents the self-heals and may allow you to kill him with hero ability alone. It's a risky play, though... although the explosive shot can be used on a following turn for an extra 2 damage burst. ... It's worth considering. Side note: I think this may be the reason Trump dislikes Explosive Trap so much... he never considers it as a possible 2 damage burst on the hero, even when that would make a big difference.

Because Boulderfist Ogre is a 6/7 for 6 instead of a 2/8. Maexna on an empty board is much worse than an Ogre on an empty board. Also if she is silenced she's even worse. Ogre doesn't care about silence.

donkeykong315 I think Maexxna is a bad card, but your example is awful. Maexxna kills the Ogre and lives. That's actually one of the best scenarios possible with Maexxna. The opponent is forced to use another, and maybe several more, cards to deal with Maexxna.

Not saying it's good or bad, but I've noticed recently that Trump has been spotting semi-obvious things, such as playing an ooze to destroy a weapon, and then kind of putting over emphasis on AVOIDING that obvious good play, to make a different play. I think ignoring the obvious for a subtle alternative move is what separates good players from great players, but to me it seems he's looking for it a little too hard and at times would have been better off making the obvious play. This is just based off his past 5 arena runs or so, and the records speak for themselves. At least it's good to see someone of Trump's skill level still learning and changing as a player.

explosive trap is only good when your board is basically empty, or it's obvious they're going to attack face and it's crucial you deal 2 damage. In arena, where board control is major (especially for Trump), there's rarely a time where he has an empty board, or his opponent is going for his face because he tends to usually hold the board. It's not even inherently a bad card, there's just almost always a better card to take its place

Loatheb is only really good to prevent combos like Miracle Rogue. Since these combos are very improbable in Arena, Loatheb is the worse pick. Also, the decks in Arena are more minion focussed.

Mrtrollfaceization Miracle rogues still can play minions (earthern ring, azure, si agent etc.) or just do a spell like deadly and prepare for the next turn. Loatheb is good but it's not going to win you the game unless you have the kill in the next ~2-3 turns. Loatheb is a lot better use vs Ice mage as you can mess up their flamestrikes, secrets and continue the rush.

it's fairly bad, though this is such a common question. it's good against people who are not good enough to play around it, who generally are people you should beat anyway. against people who play around it, it's often a 1 for 1 or a 1 for 0. it's also bad if you are winning or tied, because they will trade, while that's not a huge downside if you're winning because ... you're winning ... it doesn't secure the win, and it is a consideration in a close match where both players play minions on empty boards/hit minions mostly. it's better in constructed, where the 2 damage to face is significant, and in hunter decks that play mainly low damage minions (webspinner, the other spider, etc) which your opponent's optimal play is often to ignore them.
