I'd like to see more cards like shadow priest, maybe not for every class, but I like the idea of having more variation in classes. Like maybe a card for the Shaman that give's him and entirely different set of totems, or one for the Mage that gives her the ability to freeze instead of doing one damage. Just a thought.

Now i know of this shadow form spell for priest, i'd kinda like to see some similar cards for other classes. Hero power upgrade cards i mean, like, off the top of my head, allow the mage to still deal 1 damage, but add in a freeze effect to the power. Warlocks, the cost for drawing could be halfed, or discard a card from the top of your deck to regain 2 life.

Prests can have a second shadowform spell which makes it "Deal 3 damage to any character.", but I haven't seen a third one used in arena because it's already broken enough. But being so 'broken' it costs your pacing by a lot just because it is SO good.

LOL that 0-4 taunt pooped on me today. Out right away doubled health switched to attack hit me for 12 on the 3rd turn and 12 on the 4th so yea 24 damage on 4th turn! Such a lucky game for that guy!

There's really no way to get a shieldbearer up to 0/12 before inner firing it...It would have to be buffed with a +2 health before divine spirit or +4 after, or i suppose if it takes one damage then gets double spirited it could, still seems like a waste when you could use it on a mogu'shan or a snapjaw for even stronger effect.

I never can do well with Shadowform. Whenever I use it, I feel like the hero ability doesn't make up for the loss of mana for that turn, and by the time you can use it the two damage isn't very effective.

That's why he said it is not used much in constructed because it is too slow, but in arena everyone has wacky decks where shadow form can be useful.

You can do well with Shadowform in constructed when you have taunts and scary creatures. You can also add Prophet Velen if you have him to make it do 4-6 damage. Shadowform is very versatile, dont dismiss it like that.

Please make sure trump sees this because i think he has missed out on some of the resent changes. Enrage has been changed so even though you heal an enraged 4/1 raging worgen up to full hp, it keeps its buffs and windfury :D

At 10:47 instead of setting up to kill the elemental next turn, why not TAKE THE ELEMENTAL. Shadow madness can take enemy minions with 3 or less, not less than 3.

Maybe you should read what the card does again. It takes control of the minion UNTIL THE END OF THE TURN, that means it would make no difference for him to take the waterelemental and kill the other minion, the result would still have been a 3/4 water elemental for the enemy at the end of the turn.

a free 1/1 minion 5 turns in a row, or 5 turns worth of the paladin hero ability for 3 mana upfront ;) also it provides you with little chumpers to finish off minions cause in arena the math often works in such a way that minions are left with 1 health.

I play midrange and lock and load hunter a lot, and a combination of old school bounce rogue and oil rogue of my own design (I refuse to netdeck,) and this playstyle intrigues me. I feel like shadowpriest with trueheart + velen and some direct damage could be an effective direct damage deck thats less annoying than regular priests. I like duality in m classes.

Card's like harpy are a pseudo taunt with a major upside if it can't be killed. I trust your opinion that overall it's not a good card, but I think you're missing some of it's potential.

The problem with harpy is that it's supposed to be a late game card yet it has the same stats as a yeti which costs 2 less mana, generally your only strat with it would be going to the face because it's unable to one-for-one say a mecenary or a golem which costs 1 more.

Just look at the competition. Lord of the arena has +3 stat points, the other 6 mana taunter has divine shield, one of the most powerful abilities in the game. There's a 5 mana taunter that size that also can be put on the field with charge instead. In fact, booty bay bodyguard is about the same total stats, 1 mana less, and it's considered a pretty poor card to my understanding. Yeah, windfury may mechanically work similarly to taunt (but it still gives your opponent more options than taunt so is objectively inferior unless you have the lead in board presence to actually get a turn with your windfury), but a 4/5 with taunt for 6 would still be a terrible card.

It's a 4/5 with taunt and windfury. Even if it's a "bad" card it's got potential. It's not like people always use ALL their mana. People float extra mana more often than not. If you have 10 mana and can only spend 9 or less, what's the difference if it's a 6 cost or a 1 cost.

Jack Bandit You don't build decks in card games for after you already play most of your cards and are top decking. You build your decks to maximize your chances of curving out properly, which is CRITICAL. Missing your 4 drop because one of your 4 drop quality creatures actually costs 6 mana is a huge huge problem. If you miss your 4 drop completely, or if you curve out and hit your 4 but use your 6 to drop a really bad 6, that's a huge disadvantage: if your opponent manages to eat your 6 with his 6 and then get one extra swing in on your 7, you are down at least half a card and quite possibly up to 5 or so mana.

Well Trump uses Harpy quite effectively a few times in Trump cards #3 as an assassin. At one point he dark iron dwarfs it for +2 damage then shattered sun clerics it for + 1 then does 14 damage to the face. Was pretty bad ass. Even if he didn't buff it it'd still be a solid 8 damage to the face. Of course assassin hero ability aloud him to protect it, but so does mage. Could you imagine a harpy with blessing of kings from a paladin? Thats 16 damage and 9 health. Paladins can also divine shield it. Priests can attack with it then heal it. Druids have a lot of cards that buff. Warlock power overwhelming it, since it's likely to die from attacking twice anyway. I mean it's just not as bad as people make it out to be. Every added damage you can put on it counts twice.

I'm in agreement. Some players miss lethal too, if they get too focused on all of your minions they might start trading before realizing they can just go for face and win. Then there's the chance of top decking a card that completely turns the game around, and your opponent loses too much momentum to recover.

Ghoul gets +1 when you kill a defender or as trump calls it GET DOWN, it counts as a minion and if you have a sword of justice and a stormwind champion on the field it becomes a 4/3. I once had that used against me :\.
