The only reason why quest rogue is doing well now is because the majority of the players are trying out slower decks and there's really not much aggro going on at the moment. Quest rogues get stomp 9 times out of 10 against heavy aggro.

I have watched all the other review videos of Trump and after about 10 minutes of watching I am convinced of the fact that the editing is well done. Of course I can't judge the whole video, but I liked it so far and I don't see sgins of a drecreasing editing-quality.

Besides, the fact that this video is one hour long is already a sign of good editing. Trump talks A LOT. There was this one recent card reveal video he recorded on stream in which he talked about like, 8 cards. Trump sends the vod to Jens and realizes the vod is almost 2 hours long. Now imagine that to the entire set, while explaining constructed viability for every card. Jens is a God, or a robot. Or both.

While I disagree with some of the ratings, Trump's general approach to reviewing is fundamentally correct. A card may be powerful, but if you never see it and it's never played, why should it be given a high rating? Sure, the ratings may change when a new set comes out, but it's impossible to rate cards by assuming or guessing what may come later. Rating them as they appear in the meta now (or at least your best guess) is the right way to go.

The thing is he's evaluating based on the current meta and not what it'll be like in Un'goro, some decks are going to push out others because of the rotation and introduction of new cards. This is going to be the most hilariously inaccurate comparison video in a few months when a huge number of cards he rated as 1 star end up being 4-5 star because of the way the meta shifts.

You're wrong though, giving all taunt warrior cards 1/5 based on the fact jade druid exists is ludicrious because we can't predict jade druid's place in the meta post un'goro. Saying all priest cards are 1/5 based on the fact he doesn't think priest will be played due to the rotation is ludicrious. He's going to be eating his words so hard on a huge number of cards, it'll be like the time he rated Dr.Boom poorly times like eleven. You can't just theorycraft decks and take such hardline approaches for build around cards and cards that introduce new mechanics because you have no baseline to compare it to. Is taunt warrior going to be the best deck in standard? Odds are no, but odds are rating all their cards 1/5 is going to make you look stupid when someone finds an opening to exploit the deck at some point in the meta.

How is 7 taunt minions a problem?! You're not going to die - you have taunt! Basically, just make a control warrior, but replace the late game with good taunt minions. You don't need late game when you can deal 8 every turn. And control warrior has removal for the big stuff when against control. Then deal 8 to face. Many times. That quest is at least a 3 star. At least.

Taunts are remarkably good against a board full of small minions. They basically become useless unless they all trade in. They just don't have the health to trade favourably. Jade druid is indeed a bit of a problem for the taunts or the 8 damage, but that's why I brought up the removal for big stuff. 60 stats on the board? Brawl and 8 damage can clear that. Then add a 3 drop and you're winning.

Priest will be horrible. They're working with the worst set of classic cards, two bad previous sets (plus this) and one okay set of cards. Basically Blizzard has to go through their classic set and add a bunch of cards to it. Right now they have ZERO hard removal for four drops (again) and they're back to situational hard removal. Their aoe is a joke. Their minions are gimmicks and three of them are well stated. Compare that class to everyone else and it's like looking at a different game.

John Hendriks why's that? The quickest that you can get your quest done is by around turn 9/10 on average. That's plenty of time for aggro to kill you. If they don't, then you win but they're more likely to kill you by then. That also gives Jade Druids and shamans plenty of time to make giants. Druids will be playing 1 mana Jade idols and summoning 8/8 s by then. Your health doesn't matter against infinite 8/8+

Trump has been horrible at predicting the upcoming meta in the past. Completely missed Pirates in MSG, Shaman in Kara (although everyone missed this too), Challenger and Dr. Boom, Grim Patron OTK deck. I don't think he's made one correct prediction about the top deck/cards in any meta. He only looks at the current meta for his prediction, which is evident when he called Flash Heal (a near staple from its release in every Priest deck that isn't Dragon Priest) a garbage card right in this video. I rate his reviews as 1 out of 5 stars, the same score as Lifecoach, Chakki and co, and quite a few other streamers.

I think shadow visions is an amazing card in itself. It's bad if priest is bad because by that merit all their class cards are bad, but it is nearly guaranteed to pull exactly what you need. If you keep track of the spells in your deck and don't overload on random spells, you can pretty much always get what you want.

I think this prediction will be the most inaccurate Trump has ever done. I went for the quest hunter, but I soon realized filling the deck with 1 drops isn't that good. Raptor Hatchling is bad because we don't want to draw a 1 drop in the late game, and it would stop the consecutive drawing cards sequence after finishing the quest. The only way to build the quest hunter deck is the midrange version. And the most broken class right now is Rogue.

I stopped watching this before the half hour - I think the way to rate cards in context is flawed. Essentially, Trump looks at a class, can't see a deck archetype - and that then automatically makes every card that does NOT feature in the putative, not-going-to-be-played deck a 1-star. That can't be right. That's not rating cards, that's rating classes (or even worse, deck archetypes). Everything Priest - 1 star "because there will be no Midrange Priest"). Almost everything Rogue - 1 star "because Miracle Rogue is dead", even though it's pretty obvious that e.g. Vinespine Slayer is a very powerful card (nevermind the quest, hah). This makes the "card" rating useless because it tells you nothing about the inherent strength of the card. Plus if you're wrong about one aspect of a class, all card ratings will be wrong.

Kripparian's review accounted for the fact that it simply acts as a multiplier for all damage on the board and spell casting/card draw opportunity. I want to make a case for Dinomancy. If you _ever_ consider using your hero power as hunter you could instead play this card. On that turn you do nothing for your two mana, but every time you want to use your hero power after that it is vastly better than your old one. Shadowform is not only 3 mana, but it's questionable whether it's better than Lesser Heal. Priests want to heal. Dinomancy, on the other hand, is almost always an upgrade to Quick Shot. It lets your minions trade better, you get through taunts more easily, it makes your minions more resilient to removal, and the attack bonus can hit the face multiple times. The only times it's worse is if the game is almost over _and_ the enemy has very big taunts or removed all your minions, and you just need that final piece of damage. Maybe the 2 mana you spend casting it still makes it bad, but it is at the very least a lot better than Shadowform.

People always want to disagree with popular KZbinrs/Streamers. It is the typical "stroking my e-peen"-syndrom. It makes them think they are smart or something. There will be most certanly be things Trump will be wrong about, but that is to be expected because otherwise he would be the worlds first true oracle that can accurately predict the future. On average his reviews were a lot more accurate then people give him credit for. TT´here are just these populare things like "Dr. Boom won't see any play" quotes that people will fall back on cause that is just the internet being itself.

Tamás Dubicz well take a loot at cards like fight promoter and burgly bully.These two cards are very very strong by themselfs but they dont see play because there isnt a deck for them. Same goes for Ysera right now, Or Kel'Thuzad. Or Sneed's. Or Saraad. Or faceless manipulator(only combo renolock). There are many many many good cards in hearthstone which dont see play because of the meta which is what Trump's review is based on and why Trump's review is always the most accurate. He doesnt review if a card is strong, he reviews if a card is strong enough to see play in the upcoming meta. Also he builds a lot of decks and loves theorycrafting and is one of the very few people that actually try to make single card work in some way. He made zoolock in a time everyone thought warlock was limited to giants and taunts. These two are the only people whose reviews are worth watching for contructed.

Deck plan: Include mind vision, shadow vision and dirty rat to steal or destroy their quest before they use them. Use shadow vision to get more mind visions. Save your rats and visions until they finish their quest reward. Steal it or pull it from their hands. If they are minion based you want to vision first then dirty rat. If the reward is spell based use rats first then vision. Hopefully they won't play the reward the same turn they finished it or your screwed. You can even mindvision their quest when your first player and steal more card from their deck to complete it. But I like my first idea alot better.

I really like the format Trump uses in this video, unlike the Gadgetzan review. I kinda got bored seeing him start the review with all of the 1-star cards, then going to 2-star, then 3-star, etc. But this other way where he reviews them by class is much better and lets people skip over parts of the video for those who maybe don't play every class. It's a small detail but I personally like it a lot more. Also I feel like there were a lot of cards in this expansion that seemed ridiculously good and once people took a second to think about the deck that would have to be built, the cards became less exciting (i.e. the Paladin quest).

Open waygate doesn't even have to be a combo deck. That is something you didn't consider, that it doesn't need to be a otk deck because take an extra turn is so powerful that many lines of play will often end up winning the game anyway

I'm no professional hearthstone streamer so I'm most likely wrong... but I think Fire Plume Harbinger is worth more than a 1 star, mainly because shaman decks will still run lightning bolt and storm, and since elemental decks are all about playing one last turn, reducing the costs by 1 will possibly continue the tempo play even with overload, even though granted that 3/2 remove overload could see more plays is a valid point too.

To all the people saying "Kripp said this but trump said that" consider the two players and their rating method. Trumps method makes the most sense for constructed, cards have to have a deck to fit in constructed or they are useless. Which is the way he talks about cards in this review. Kripps method makes more sense for Arena where you have a much more random set of choices and cards are better in isolation of each other. Neither review method is "bad" just different.
