The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in the season 18 trailer and the episodes especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons. It's a testament toTy's impact on the series, in that he still remains the topic of much fan discussion and love even though he has been missing for over 4 years.

To be honest the heartland will not be the same without Ty so I sure hope that the writers will bring him back somehow I really don't care how they go about bringing him back I just want him back with his family. And I don't think I'm the only one that feels this way!!! Am I ???

Ty wanted to leave you can't just end the series. If you don't like the way it's going don't watch it. We love it The new characters are good and Amy has to move on That's a fact of life.

No not him or any other man can take Tyler's place!!! So they need to bring him back for real. Not as a ghost or a memory but as his self !!! Or they might as well just end heartland this season!! Cause I don't want to watch it anymore. And I pay to watch it.... So if they don't bring him back this fan will no longer watch the heartland!!!

Sorry but if this story is correct -GOODBYE HEARTLAND - you have been flogging a dead horse for a long time now = just end this fiasco and end the show - you produced many. many great shows - best to go out with people remembering the past great show - that dragging it on and on to boredom.

I agree with you. Cause I pay to watch this show and if Graham wardle doesn't come back I'm going to cancel my scripture and stop watching it. Cause the heartland show started out with the Amy and Ty love story and that's the way it should stay !!! And if not then like I said this fan won't watch anymore seasons. Bring Ty back. Or Good Bye!!!

It’s not interesting at all any more since Ty left the show and we keep hearing Ty is coming back in epi 1 in season 18 but who knows how true it is then you bring Caleb back it’s rediculous. I won’t be watching
