I really like this channel, but understand that Ty is not coming back, and the way they say every time he's going to come back and in the end it doesn't happen, it's something that personally makes me feel sad because I know that things won't go back to the way they were before, I hope I'm wrong and we can have Ty back, helping the series to have that essence that the relationship of the characters provided.

Heartland writers like Heather Conkie created a powerful and beautiful love story of Amy and Ty, it is the reason for Heartland's success and fans still can't get enough of it because it can't be duplicated with Sam, Finn, Edwin, Nathan, Caleb or anyone else.....in my opinion none of the guys Amy has dated measure up and are good enough for her(and Lindy as well).......the last scene of season 18, episode 10 are the writers attempting to create drama to keep the series interesting......but because Amy always has that pained, dour look on her face(never had it previous romantic situations) even during the final kiss scene with Nathan, I am inclined to believe this will not bode well for them in the future....also, Ty aside, why have the writers forgotten about Lindy in her role in Amy's relationship decisions.....it would be a mistake to forget either Ty(references and stories like in episode 2) and most certainly Lyndy by Amy in her future decisions...the caleb and Ashley storyline along with Nathan's sister appearing as the co-owner of Pryce Beef was interesting but the rest of the episode including the open house was boring and predictable just like the other side stories involving Tim's job and Katie's decision not to leave....Heartland has lost its magic because the last 3-4 seasons lack the The real success of Heartland which was and still is the Amy and Ty love story.

I partly agree with what you're saying. The show has gone downhill....way downhill in my opinion. But it isn't because Ty died. It's because of all the terrible new writers they have who don't have a clue how to write the good storylines. Season 16 was bad (and short) and I quit watching during 17 because it was just bad.

Heartland newest season 19 has been so difficult to find & watch because it’s never available in USA ! Can you believe they are showing season one on TV ?? It’s a frustrating show to follow. I’ve been waiting for season 19 and I guess it will never come here at least another couple years?? in season 19 stinks because of Ty returning. Not believable!! I really grew fond of Nathan‘s relationship to Amy as well. so unfortunately, I’m not a fan anymore!
