this scean was so beautiful and lighting was so magical and there chemistry and passion was so well done and i love how nick looking for charlie and when they both fund each other u can see they both run up and saying to each other i was looking for u and u can see there eyes lilt up and also glowing cross the dance floor and i love how nick stand up to harry and also he said happy brithday and walk off so he can find charlie and i love how charile push ben and when they in the room on there own i love how charile asking nick question and u can see on nick face how scared he is but when charile ask him if he would kiss him and nick did he was very sure that he want to kiss him and i love how nick came to charile place in the rain that was so beautiful. and i love how nick see tara and darsey on the dance floor he was so happy.

I actually really like the (brief glimpses we get of the) parents. Tao's mum seems really sweet, she knows her son well. Nick's mum too, with her "I like Charlie, you seem much more yourself around him" and Charlie's dad being all supportive. Ben can choke, he's such an asshole. Harry too. Ugh. I love the rainbows everywhere, the strobe lights, the literal rainbows over the school, but also the bisexual lighting everywhere, the colours of all the pan/bi/lesbian/trans flags are everywhere too. :) And yellow/blue for Charlie/Nick. :) I love how Nick is so unsure, but he does know he wants to kiss Charlie.

so is that what it means by colours i didnt know what that means what does it mean about nick and charile colours does it mean when they are together but what i can see is when they not together the rooms change colour darker why does that happen and when they are together its more lighter i dont understand can someone explan to me what all is mean so what colour is for bi i didnt know anything like this.

One thing this show gets right is how bullies (and a lot of cishet people, actually) like to make people uncomfortable. Like when Harry and his friends walk up to Nick and Charlie just to ask them why they're hanging out there. It seems to be an innocent question and they feel like that gives them the right to defend themselves if anyone (in this case Nick and Charlie) were to get angry. They'd probably go "What? We were just asking because it seems boring". Seems like the perfect excuse for them, but both them and Nick and Charlie know that's not why they asked. It's hard to actually describe what they're doing because I can't understand their motivation, but a lot of people that do these thing are just imposing their presence. They just want to make people uncomfortable, that's all. And whenever they start this kind of interactions, they KNOW what they're doing, and the bullied ones know that they know, but they can't say anything about it because it's always innocent questions or comments. I know I'm rambling, but it's a very weird situation to describe, and the show manages to capture it perfectly in my opinion. I wanted to point that out because the rest of the episode has been talked about by everyone, which is understandable.

I think you make a great point and I think Harry proved your point later when he brought up Charlie being gay and possibly having a crush on Nick. He 100% knew what he was doing when he walked up to them. I’ve been in so many situations Iike these and it’s frustrating because if you do say anything you’re seen as “overreacting” or “dramatic”.

Yep. The plausible deniability is there so they can pretend they were 'just asking questions' or something like that. But it's definitely bullying. Nick shuts that down nicely with "we just are".

I don't know why I enjoy people reacting to this show as much as I do. You were way more composed that I was :) The show works on so many levels and is hard to find a fault. Perfect casting for the two main characters (and most of the others).

I think Harry's problems with Charlie stems from feelings for Nick, that he may be barely aware of. I don't know how close they have been in the past, but Nick's interest in another boy clearly upsets him.

i think it's more about nick being the "rugby king", presumably one of the most popular kids in school. a lot of people probably would like to be close to him, and for harry it's likely all about social status: he's rich, popular, and "friends" with the one and only nick nelson (who everyone loves)
