One thing i noticed, Charlie's parents didn't noticed his eating habits but Nick and his mom did in a span of MONTHS. I did heard in the books (Tori's perspective) that their parents never truly "care" about them, in a not paying attention way. It is probably why Tori and Charlie are close, Tori was the one who looks after him. The scene where she's teary as she asks Charlie if he's gonna tell people about him and Nick now, she was getting worried sickly about Charlie getting bullied again. She was the only one who pays attention to him, hence why she was being extra with wanting Nick to look after him during the bonfire and was a little pissed that he didn't kept it. She's very protective over Charlie, she is a sister who's just very worried over her little brother. A lot of people watching the show doesn't know how much of a compassionate person is Tori, it goes way more in depth in the books and everything in her perspective. I really hope they make a movie or a show on her book Solitaire. Heartstopper series is a prequel while Solitaire was the first book in the series, everything started from Solitaire. The show hasn't FULLY show her character yet, they're definitely gonna show more of her in season 3 since now Charlie's ED is revealed.

Ben will definitely not be in Season 3. Alice has confirmed that he is gone and done now. Nick is going to Truham for 6th form so Nick and Charlie won't be separated for that. I doubt there would be any cheating. They've started filming and have confirmed that the first episode is called Love, and if they follow the comics, it's going to be SOOOOOO good!

I like how observant and chatty a reactor you are but you still don’t miss out on important stuff in the show! I have only skimmed the comics but N&C have more hurdles and drama but the consensus is they mostly communicate well so they go through all of this together. The comment about Charlie’s sh being hidden is pretty true, light spoilers: but you’ll notice in season 3 he doesn’t want to take his shirt off and in the comics he takes a while to take it off when he and Nick start getting intimate, due to the sh location and his anorexia.

There are some theories that Harry might be asexual. He's so focused on other people's relationships but never seems interested in one himself. And during the Paris trip when they were doing that worksheet before the Eiffel Tower scene, all the characters that were paired off had the same sexual orientations or hinted at in Imogen's case (Tara and Darcy - gay, Nick and Ben - bi, Charlie and James - gay, Imogen and Sahar - bi?, Isaac and Harry, ace?).

It’s been confirmed that Harry is just straight and annoying lol. I haven’t seen this theory before, but a lot of people used to theorize that Harry was gay, and the author debunked those theories. They dislike the trope of all homophobic bullies being secretly queer and self-hating. “Sometimes people are straight,” as Tao says! I personally think he harasses his friends about their love lives to deflect from the fact that he clearly doesn’t have any girls interested in *him*.

So a lot of people noticed that kit(nick) gained a lot of muscle between s1 and 2. That’s because a lot of fans were constantly comparing kit to nick in the novels. Nick is a littler more buff in the novels so kit pushed himself to gain more muscle. I hate that he felt the need to do that though 😢 people are jerks.

Spoilers a little about Heartstopper and how it will kinda continue Isaac's part of the Aroace spectrum, it had already been confirmed by the author of the books. It was easy for me to catch it by how many times he's surrounded by romantic love by everyone, being confused whether he likes James as a friend or more than that, asking Charlie how he feels towards Nick who he loves romantically. He feels this pressure to like someone just like everyone in his friend group but he doesn't. Reading books that has little plots of relationships, trying to understand them. It is really well represented on how they show what a lot of Aroace people gone through. I have a friend who she has never had a crush or have feelings for someone in her life, there were times she fakes having a crush just to fit in with me and other friends so she doesn't feel left out. She still doesn't really understands how it works or how people even feel that way. I am not sure if she is part of the spectrum, i did told her about Aroace and she relates to it, but I'm saying not sure because i have no rights to confirm her identity, that is on her. It is interesting to see that someone can't relate or understand these and i am so happy to see a very well representation of a character like Isaac to be put on screen, Aroace people are barely represented and it's nice to see people who are new are adjusting, educating and trying to understand it themselves now.

Agreed that usually when people like Harry bully there’s a reason, but I think the idea that it has to be because he’s secretly queer is a little off and stereotypical. In Harry’s case, I think it’s just that he wants attention, probably something to do with the way he’s being raised (either entitlement from rich parents, or neglect from rich parents, or a combination of the two). I think his slight shift this season is because he’s starting to realize that not all attention is good, and being a dick is causing him to start losing friends (like Nick). It’s interesting too because with more lgbtq+ characters coming out and also just being accepted by other ally characters, it’s like the tide is starting to shift at their schools. Harry’s changing behavior is probably partly reflective of the fact that bullying lgbtq+ people just isn’t “cool” anymore. Which might be an experience that’s really reflective of the age of the writer, because they were in high school right around the time attitudes toward lgbtq+ people were beginning to shift dramatically in western culture.

loved your reaction as always !!! it's crazy how observant you are lol, some of the things you noticed i didn't even notice until my 3rd rewatch. btw, sahar and imogen was kinda hinted at throughout the season. i also thought it came out of nowhere on my first watch, but upon rewatches, i noticed sahar saying imogen dropped her as soon as she got a boyfriend, which is a common confused / closeted queer experience. also imogen at elle's art exhibit saying "you guys can't bully me about being the only straight ally now that sahar is here" reminds me of charlie telling nick in s1e2 "thank you for being my supportive straight friend" as a subtle way to get nick to say his sexuality by either saying "you're welcome" or "actually, i'm not straight". imogen could've been doing the same to sahar !! can't wait for season 3 and your reaction !!

Im loving watching you talk about the expectations of season 3 as someone whos read all of the comics, has all 4 books, and book 5 on pre order....because i know what season 3 could be about if they follow the comics like they have so far..... Also. With SH you can never truly know. There are so many places that are so hidden that people dont know about. When people think of cutting they automatically think its on the arms or wrists when in reality alot of people dont ever cut on their wrists. And people can never truly know when people are having issues with self harm because people hide it so well. When my parents found out they had absolutely no clue because i hid it so well. Some people hid the downhill in mood and the mood swings really well (me being one of them) and im guessing thats what happened with Charlie.

If you want more story with Tori I recommend reading Solitaire. It’s Alice Osemans first novel and Tori is the main character, it takes place after Heartstopper though. It’s also more dark than Heartstopper, most of her books are

Ugh Ben. Ben is such a hateful character. "i DiDn'T dO aNyThInG" uh dude. You abused, gaslighted, and assaulted Charlie, and cheated on both Charlie and the unnamed girl from episode 1. Does he genuinely not understand how badly he fncked up? Does he think he was a good person? Learning a second language, whether that's at school or at home, is good for the brain. This has been established for a while now, learning other languages exist is good for your general development, and hopefully empathy when other people who speak English (or whichever language is your first) as a second language aren't perfect at it. It also seems to help with diseases such as Alzheimer. Plus, you don't learn things in school because you will need all of it all the time. You learn things in school to broaden your horizon, to figure out what you do want to do, and then you have the basics to build on for whatever your next education/job will be, to learn how to solve problems, etc etc. Learning on its own is beneficial. If you know things you can more easily connect things together too. A basic example would be knowing that WW1 was from 1914 to 1918, or at least know the decade. I had to read excerpts from stories and analyse them for uni as practice for analysing longer books, so when there are a lot of Germans in one story and they are portrayed as evil, you know why when you see the story was published in 1917. This seems basic, but if you know the context of news stories for example you are less likely to believe propaganda and fake news, or if you know how science works you can read some bananas claim in some tiktok and realise it is made up. Charlie wants Nick to be comfortable, and come out in a way that makes him happy. He doesn't want Nick to be stressed out so much over coming out. And at the same time he also would love to just be open about his relationship. Those two things are not impossible somehow. You can want things that aren't possible that very second. There is no set time limit on telling anyone you love them. Especially as teens. Casual dates exist. None of the snails I've eaten have been chewy, they were all very soft, and basically tasted like garlic butter. Yeah the hints about not eating have been there even in the last season. He refuses food several times, he doesn't eat his lunch when he feels bad... If you know what to look for the hints are pretty obvious, but if you don't know they can escape notice.

His story is over Alice doesn’t want him to get a Redemption arc. little spoiler for S3 next … How the show has been following the book so far S3 will be darker and it is not good for Charlie things will get a lot worse before it gets better also in the comics there’s a amazing scene how Charlie and Nick says I love you and I hope they keep it how it is in the books it’s perfect! S3 will follow book 4 most likely since S2 followed book 3

I absolutely LOVE this show and it has meant the world to me. But I will say, I wish that it was a bit more showing and a bit less telling. Like if the character feels something they just say it, they don’t hide things or sit and ponder things. And I get this is meant to be ideal relationships and stuff but I like when an audience member can tell the internal dialogue of the characters without the characters having to spell it out for them.

Honestly I have all faith in him now so he said season three would-be virginity cheating sixth-form exams. And it just so interesting that yeah I like in the eyes of these teenagers, their lives are so full. I immediately get Elle will be the one to cheat. Sexy sexy I feel like it'll be at least implied for both of our main through The season's couples. I hope on my life they give more about Tory storyline. Just a glimmer. most proms, in general, are anticlimactic and a waste of money. lol my advice would be... take the money and go on a senior trip with a couple of friends. now that's a memorable experience that's worth the cost
