Interesting you noticed him looking like a spy in the first picture. In the book Henrys father was a James Bond actor, whilst his mother was royal. So the car he is driving in that scene, is a nod to that. (it might actually be a James Bond car, but what do i know about cars)

the car from rwrb is very similar to the james bond car. the bond car was a 1962 and he rwrb was a 1967 they are both the same exact color. the bond car was also a hardtop and henrys is a convertible.

I don't know how to express this exactly, but as someone who grew up when homosexuality was not only illegal, but could get you committed to a mental institution indefinitely, you may not know what it means to hear your reaction.
