I'm guessing that was Kit beginning to reference the way that some fans forced his coming out, which is probably why he might not have wanted to have much more to say about it than to say "Heartstopper was quite an important thing for me". A forced "choice" and pretty unpleasant, but maybe ultimately for the better. Yeah, I would have liked to know what further words *may* have been said in the interview, but maybe that really was all of his answer, it really was just Kit "editing" himself.

I don’t think Charlie’s parents are bad. Charlie was literally 14-16 throughout the series so far. I feel like the mom acted pretty normal for his age.
