Floral Park is a lovely but relatively expensive neighbourhood very close to great neck where prices are astronomical by comparison. For those of you not from the New York area, they actually got a very good deal. And in my opinion that house has lots of potential .

That was totally the best choice!! Due to him doing all the demo, it’s going to help the renovation budget. Hire a contractor to finish the job, correctly & faster than they could. They could do the kitchen, powder rm, & add a master bath easily for their budget! Would love to see the finish product!!!

This is a 200k + project that will take at least a year. This family is so naive. Keep in mind, this charming house also has ancient boiler, water heater, windows, electrical, etc etc. It might be 20k to just rewire it, so wall paper family project is cute, but has nothing to do with reality.

Uh no...I'd have gone for the second house. Sure it's over their budget, but negotiate the price down and have to pay a mortgage for a while, but hey-it was beautiful.

HeyIts _Kay It didn’t have a 1st floor bath. Needed more of a yard. Plus if your adding a master bath, do it. That was more of a powder bath! Not practical for 2 people! 3rd house gave them the budget to renovate, & make it their way! I’d put a porch on the front, to give it more curb appeal! Not to mention the inside!

I'm sorry curb appeal ?? You dont live on the outside. I didnt like the carport in front of my house but the living space sold me. I got used to driving up to the front door (under the carport) better security with sensor light. Now love it !!

Pretty sure the 1st house was hunted, that shit look straight from a horror film. And man, thouse houses are damn pricy, and none of them was even perfect. The 3rd one has the best potential, I’m glad they chose it, I’d love to see it finish.

These houses are over priced and over rated. They will have to build a home from scratch with hundreds of thousands to spend for a complete renovation. The prices are too expensive for these run down houses. These houses are horror stories. I hope that they do not have surprising structural, electrical and plumbing problems. What a Waste.
