Heat changing paint and hydrographics make an awesome combination. General Spray painting skills is all you need to get an awesome finish like this. Most Hydrodipping guys will dip the baecoat for you pretty cheap.

There are several components to doing a pro job. One place I discovered which successfully combines these is the Magic Painter Method (check it out on google) definately the most incredible course that I have ever seen. Check out this interesting resource.

@@customspraymods hey.. Did u mix the thermo directly in the paint? I have some i jus ordered but it says let it sit in reducer for 24hrs.. Which eventually i would mix into the paint that way..

Awesome rendering. Love this effect, but wonder now if it would be possible to effect on cold water only, like reverted effect. Imagine your car or motorbike painting suddenly reacting under the rain... !

What brand of paint is the black heat changing paint? this is awesome! Do you think clearcoating with Cerakote would affect its ability to change or damage the paint since Cerakote needs to be baked on at 250 degrees for several hours? (Playing with the idea of doing something like this to a ar15 build)

Really liking this paint... What is the temp rating on the paint before it goes clear? Can you get the temp paint in other colors than black? Asking because I am building an electric guitar and I think this type of paint would put it over the top. Let me know when you can. Thanks

Rafael Gonzalez yes engine bay will change the colour. Check out the date of this video mid 2017 it still looks and works exactly the same.

Thermochromatic ink is a type of dye that changes color when temperatures increase or decrease. Satin finishes have a matte clear coat.

Tod Benner start with 400grams of thinners then add 25grams of powder. Then add 400 grams of clear base coat binder. Hope that helps. I would love to see pictures when your done.
