Looking at this after just finishing up tennis in hot sun. Leg cramps, sweating, feeling my rapid pulse…luckily I had some apple juice and the sugar and liquid quickly perked me back.

Nice, thank you for the content you bring. If you live with ridiculous summer humidity, and heat, and sun. I am in Florida personally. But don't be in a lack of rest/ sleep. I can say first hand the dizzy part, can actually lead to paranoia, and hallucinations as your body is cooling down and truly ready to call it a night. Drink cold water, and as long as your pee is not going into a dark yellow, clear is properly hydrated. You will be good. Much love to you and all, and thank you again for the content.

I was putting shingles on a house today. It was at least 100 degrees on the roof. After several hours i felt like I was going to pass out. My legs started cramping, my back started cramping, my energy completely ran out, and i was having chills and goosebumps. It's been 8 hours since i struggled to climb down the ladder at the end of the day, and im still exhausted. Badly. My heart has been pounding. Everyone was making fun of me when i was complaining about getting tunnel vision amd goosebumps. My clothes were very dark, but I had nothing brighter to change into. I know it was heat exhaustion. I just don't know how close i was to having a heat stroke. It was bad.

Yeah, that sounds serious! People do collapse with heat stroke at times and being up on a roof is no joke! Hope you're feeling better now!

@@AllySafety Luckily we finished the job this morning just as it was beginning to heat up. I was beginning to feel horrible again, so we finished just in time. I'm just gonna have to take it easy for a few days. I'm still not at 100%, but I'm a lot better than I was yesterday

@@roadkillavenger1325 i experienced the same thing with tunnel vision and almost passing out. the worst part is, you feel that you have less tolerance to heat and almost always have a tendency to heat stroke/ exhaustion during summer months. It seems as if, you are more prone it than before. do you feel the same way?

@@nathanhuit293 I don't have the same amount of stamina as I did last year. I get out of breath so much more easily now, and I just haven't felt normal since. I've been forcing myself to walk long distances to try and get some of my stamina back.

It's been a record breaking summer and the past 5 days in a row have been 90 to 100 and I have bee doing manual labor. I have been going through liters of water and if I don't wear a bandana the sweat pours into my eyes. Today it was 98 and my head is just killing me.

Get cooled down as soon as you can and rehydrate. Try to be around others who can help monitor your symptoms.

Off topic from the video. But have you ever thought of making a video on reporting findings to your upper management?? I’m talking about lab findings, recommendations etc.

Interesting - do you mean from the perspective of a safety pro or average worker?

Lmfao. Me here chugging vodka and energy drinks because it’s all I can keep down. This is the closest I’ve come to heat STROKE. It is as , I need to note confusion is something this video left out, but I haven’t had AC in NC summer heat and it’s already lethal for me this year. If I try to drink anything else I vomit. My liver is already messed up and I’m not absorbing/digesting water properly. I just have to switch to bloody diet and caffeine free drinks…idk what I’ve said. I’m dying. It starts happening to me at 80° and when hypothermia would hit some people I am so comfy. I have known thyroid issues…this should mean I am hyper but I know myself enough to say no……..I am hypo with other underlining conditions. Standing I have had to catch myself already collapsing from the heat. But there is no escape. Go to the ER to be …. Long story that is irrelevant, but if they cool me down and hydrate me they will return me to where I am screwed.
