Yeah, that's what drs have told me for over 11 years! Supposedly I'm post menopausal now, but I still have profuse sweating, especially right after I shower. And the inability to tolerate temps above 70°F, without dizziness, weakness, & nausea. HRT did little to nothing for these symptoms. I recently started on sublingual B complex & I'm on 50,000 IU of Vit D3 once a week so maybe this will help. I also stared seeing a new physician that's not only an MD, but also a "D.O." - "Doctor of Osteopathy".

Dr. Berg is one of the few docs who actually understands POTS. I did a low carb diet for 2 months and felt horrible. Once I added healthy carbs back in, I felt immensely better. POTS patients are very difficult as we’re hypersensitive to most everything. I suffer from severe heat intolerance and I didn’t notice any improvement while eating low carb. I’m going to try the B1 and hope for the best. I do have a severe Vitamin D deficiency so maybe correcting that will also help with the heat intolerance and POTS symptoms. I do a B1 tablet that is thymine and benfotiamine which is a fat soluble B1 I take that about three times a week I also take magnesium glycinate it has brought up my deficiency where is other types of magnesium did not anyways my point is I can be out now in 90 and 95° weather and I feel a lot better now with drinking the liter of electrolyte water in addition to my plain water.

I developed heat intolerance with tachycardia: every time I go outside during hot weather my heart will start racing. It's been like that for a few years off and on. The cause of all of that was due to caffeine intake (I usually drink a coffee once a day). I quit drinking coffee and in less than 5 days I was able to get rid of tachycardia due to heat intolerance. Some people might be under this situation, and coffee could be the culprit. For my case heat intolerance was so bad that I had to wear icepacks to avoid tachycardia in only a few seconds while outside. I'm finally able to go outside without being worried under heat but I still do pay attention to hot weather. I am not really sure how coffee can develop heat intolerance with tachycardia, and this is a horrible feeling that gets you handicapped, but if someone experiences on of those problems, then it could simply be due to coffee intake (even with 1 cup of hot or cold coffee in the morning). Be safe everyone, cheers from France.

About a year ago I started doing cold training. This summer, my first summer since starting, I noticed a benefit I hadn't anticipated. I no longer suffer from the heat! I used to go into a flop sweat when the temperature reached 70 F. Now I don't begin to perspire until it's around 85 F and I am more comfortable in warm weather than I've ever been in my life. Also, thanks for the great, informative videos!

@@nikkyshairades9078 It's not for the faint of heart, but the benefits are many. I got into it through the Wim Hof Method. You can research it at your leisure. My advice would be to learn about it and then take it slow. You're body will need time to strengthen itself. I think that most of us spend so much time trying to stay in our comfort zones that our zone finally shrinks down to almost nothing! Doing cold training has allowed me to expand my comfort zone, not to mention the positive influence it has on my physical well being and emotions in general. Good luck to you!

I sweat profusely awaiting Dr Berg latest video uploads!! Anyway here are the excerpts: Heat intolerance can be a symptom of: 1. MS (multiple sclerosis) 2. POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) 3. Dysautonomia 4. Hyperthyroid conditions All of the above conditions have a common thread. People with these conditions typically have low vitamin B1. Increasing vitamin B1 may help improve the symptoms of the above four conditions. You may want to take a good amount of vitamin B1 for these conditions. You would also want to find a natural B complex. Nutritional yeast is a good source of vitamin B1. Vitamin D3 may also be beneficial. But, if you have POTS, you may not want to take more vitamin D. Something else to keep in mind is that the more carbohydrates you consume, the more vitamin B1 you need. Consuming more carbs may aggravate a vitamin B1 deficiency causing you to have more heat intolerance.

This started very suddenly for me, Dec. 30th, 2001. Ran out onto the snow/ice covered deck BAREFOOT to cool down. I had been cold-intolerant previous to that. They checked my hormones & said I was completely over & done with menopause (hysterectomy 1988). I've had every test for MS due to extreme weakness in my limbs, esp. right leg. = no MS tho. I have had several nerve studies, the first 4 were abnormal, (2009-2012) (they thought maybe ALS) but last year they said No to that. although I was told something was going on at L5-S1 level. I have DDD. I take a B Complex daily. Still barely walk...and still suffer severely from heat. Dizziness, nausea, feel like I'm going to black out, and I did black out behind the wheel of my car when it started...I never go w/o air conditioner on and the car cooled down now. ps...I don't sweat much, maybe just a little damp armpits and low back. Thank you Dr Berg, you have helped me with a few things but I have been dealing with heat intolerance for decades, the other day I was dizzy from the heat again and watched this video and used spiralina for B1 and I had D3 with K2 and felt better by evening and was able to work some the next day in the sun, that never happens. Thanks again

Heat intolerance, I've had it since I was 2-3 years old. Bright red face and ears in hot/humid weather. Exercise intolerance. No dizziness. Low vit D, higher BP. I'm taking benfotiamine 100mg 3x per day and L-theanine for the anxiety.

What about perimenopausal sweating? It is not listed above. Maybe there could be a lack of vitamin B1 and D3 or some autonomic system problem, but isn't there also an endocrine problem that could cause heat intolerance? Thank you.
@juskidding608219 күн бұрын
Thank you Dr Eric. You are very good. But one thing I wonder about your video is that you never suggest any food for vitamin deficiency but always suggest supplements/tablets. If you can suggest the vegs and fruits for vitamins it would be nice I think.

Thank you for this video! You may have just helped us diagnose my sister. She has been to doctor after doctor and had tons of testing done and never once was POTS ever brought up but it matches her symptoms to a T.

B1 thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide or benfotiamine in 100mg - 500ms megadoses along with a good form of magnesium helped my mother with her Beriberi and POTS. Same like your sister none of my mother's doctors offered no help but to give her more meds that only made her worse. Strangely I came down with POTS myself and found that I needed to supplement with calcium and magnesium since I didn't think my POTS was B1 related

WHEN I take B Complex, even well-rated, I get weird depression next day. Some seem to say body needs enough magnesium to process B so take magnesium for a month before starting B Complex. I understand most B complex are synthetic and no good and unfortified nutritional yeast is good but you need a lot. So its important to not eat too much junkfood and junkdrinks which deplete B vitamins and magnesium and potassium, etc. My heat intolerance started when I was playing around with iodine supplements (even small doses) caused issues but my thyroid is normal, But even after I stopped I had issues, maybe cuz I moved to Japan and I think diet has more iodine, so maybe there is lacking selenium or other nutrients to process iodine AND I am at menopause age. WHY it got to be so complicated?? BUT I also noticed issue not only when hot and humid BUT when going in and out of hot Summer and into highly air-conditioned stores, it's like body had trouble acclimating, maybe that's Dysautonomia or something.

Wow! I have been recently suffering from having an intolerance to heat. I never had that problem before but ever since I found myself deficient in vitamin D and B12, I have been having these panic attacks when it gets too hot. So I need B1 then. Will order it today. I tried taking B complex but it seems like a small dose of everything. I take 1000mcg of B12 and 4000 iu of D3 a day.

I used to have heat intolerance so bad I'd get a low grade fever, now I mix up a liter of water, 1/4 teaspoon Redmon fine salt, 1/2 teaspoon nusalt(potassium), 1/4 teaspoon of FOOD GRADE Epson salt (magnesium).

There is no cure but to relocate to colder countries. I live in Serbia and once the month of June comes I don't go out until late September..it's just horrific and unbearable. I have to fill in the bathtub with ice every day and just lay there like a polar bear to survive...

I get hot randomly and I already suffer from hyperhydrosis, but these small heat flashes or whatever you wanna call them, cause me physical pain. It lasts for a very short amount of time, but it can feel like someone is burning me and it happens quite often, has anyone experienced this as it's really making me lose control of myself and my life.

I don't get nutritional yeast where i live, so i take my B1 from, Flaxseed- 100 gm gives 1.64 mg or 137% of Daily value, so 5 tbsp is 100% Daily Value, i grind it. Sunflower seed- 100gm gives 1.48 mg or 123% of Daily value, so eating 5.5 tbsp is 100% Daily value. boi they are tasty :) so taking 2-3 tbsp each daily does it for me, I think.

I thought I was just made to live in the cold. I live in Hawaii, since I was a kid I’d always be hot and sweaty in class. I thought I just sweat more than the average person. Then highschool came around and people would be wearing jackets and pants all day. I’d be in a tshirt and surf shorts feeling hot. I can never wear a jacket, even when it gets really cold in the morning and I can see my breath I will overheat in a jacket. After a hot shower I’ll start dripping sweat once I’m trying to dry off, my actual temperature is usually lower than my wife who is always cold, and in the mornings my hands and feet are ice cold, but I don’t feel cold. The only time I ever get cold is if I’m sick. I work on a farm as maintenance, and I start work at 7:30 and I can be dripping sweat by 7:40 while everyone else is still wearing jackets. It sucks, the only time I’m comfortable is in the winter at night time when it’s cold rainy and windy.
