can also add a sunken slot port where you can drop in a flat nut or a normal nut, for instant thread. should not be too difficult to add in the 3d design. can always secure it into place with some jb weld or other quick resin mixtures

Hello my dear friend, great video, can you tell us what kind of resin you used to make the ring 3:23? Thanks

Any resin mold can withstand melting lead ?

Not Apply Lab Heat as that is way above the HDT rating. With the resin manufacturers we've reviewed I would look at Mack4D for something with that kind of rating as they have more "industrial" type formulas. Maybe their new Tiko-H but I don't know for sure.

This may be your answer to resin printed thread inserts for resin MSLA prints; been an issue I've also thought about. If you search: "Helicoil Type m3 thread insert kit" and also non helicoil spring type inserts which would be a larger diameter called "t slot thread repair inserts". I have not tried these on resin prints yet, but don't see why they wouldn't work. They look like regular heat set threaded inserts with threading on the outside and are used for repairing stripped threads in metal/plastic. I've seen helicoil sets with a set tool, drill bit, and accompanying thread tap at a fairly reasonable price. Who knows it might be a good alternative?

Oooh, sounds like a good contender to replace Siraya Sculpt in my workflow 😍

Definitely. As far as heat based uses we would recommend Heat, over Sculpt, every time.

Just use a small drill bit and JB WELD to hold the insert in place.
