I don't get Brou's argument at all. Butler has been an absolute force on both sides of the ball for multiple years now when it comes to the playoffs. The only time he has shown any type of inconsitency or letdown has been after he sustains an injury. Meanwhile Tatum has been up and down for a while now, isn't on the same defensive level as Butler, is turnover prone, and has done less with more talent around him. He says Butler's team needs to beat the Celtics for Butler to be better than Tatum, but if Butler averaged 15/4/3 and Tatum 35/11/5, would he say the same thing? If Butler averaged 37/9/5 and Tatum 26/7/3 but the Heat loses, he'd still say Tatum's better because Butler didn't get help? Makes no sense.

Butler was inconsistent in the finals in the bubble and lost in the first round the next year without any spectacular performances. And I guess its last year in the conference finals where you say he was injured. Butler's had great performances in the playoffs, but he's given more credit due to how he's mostly above average in the regular season. Tatum was first team all NBA the last two years so he's not gonna get as much credit.

Nah man. Bucks just went absolutely nuts in that game two with 3's and Jimmy didn't play game 2 for the Knicks and they still almost won that one. If anybody took their foot off the gas in game two, it was Bam in the 4th quarter, and he took all the blame after. I get what you're saying though, definitely go for the throat.

"I'm the facts guy". Goes on to dismiss how much more better playoff Jimmy has been throughout the entire playoffs. One of them dudes that make up their mind about a player and no matter what they accomplish won't change their opinion about them. Jimmy has been better and it really isn't close. If Jimmy had that same cas5 of teammates they'd be undefeated in the playoffs. Book it.

What makes a player better is not simply skill sets. It's also basketball IQ, maturity, hard work, aggression (the will and drive), and leadership. Jimmy is a better player than Jason. Those are the virtues Jason will obviously gain with time. But at this point in time, hard work and smart work beats talent. Coaches also make players - It matters.

Nick is right. Spoelstra is coaching & will continue to coach circles around Mazzulla. Mazzulla not calling a timeout in the 3rd quarter is BEYOND ridiculous. Phil Jackson would do that & let his team play through it because he had Michael Jordan or Shaq & Kobe! And then when reporters ask him about it after the game, like Nick said he gets completely defensive. Mazzulla’s in WAY over his head & he should be replaced in the off-season

Some people believe the loss of Herro was a good thing. They replaced Herro with a plus defender and haven't suffered on the offensive end. Herro is a very talented offensive player but if the Heat aren't struggling on offense, then Herro isn't missed that much. I'm not saying they don't need Herro. Every good player is a plus.
