The difference between most of the top 10 midfielders and Jude is that they've let their presence known internationally on the biggest stage, in the UCL or WC. Jude did have a good WC, but he mostly stood out because he is a young talent and because he's english. You could even argue that Musiala and Pedri are currently better than him based on how they contributed to their team's succes and their achievements. Jude's biggest achievement is his move to Real Madrid, but that doesn't make him a top 10 player yet.

If you watch Bellingham on a consistent basis, you can tell he’s not a finished package yet. A lot of the times he’s caught in two minds (partially because at Dortmund he has to cover a lot of roles). He has amazing games, but like Dortmund themselves really struggles in moments that he should excel in. It might be down to age and the pressure that comes at Dortmund when it comes to their reputation as bottlers.

Bernardo Silva did not have a good season in the prem, only in the UCL. Overrating Odegard is so weird to the level where Bruno comparisons don't stand. Bruno Fernandes had record breaking goalscoring seasons, last season competed with Kdb on every metric of chance creation, topping some, scored one more than Kdb in the PL. He didn't have the striker to back it with assists. If Theo(who's probably only seen arsenal and England play) goes by Odergaard scoring most goals as a 10, then he should be above Kdb too.

They're respectively both teams primary creators and best progressor, Ode is a much better carrier, Bruno is a much better passer. Both receive high alot too, there was a comparison graph between Kdb and these three by a good acc and they're incredibly similar, more so Ode and Bruno cause they drop more for United and arsenal, but Bruno is a much better chance creator while Odergaard a shooter. Bruno also outright played as a pivot player/6 behind Sabitzer when Casemiro was injured last season. I think Bruno's last season was insane creatively(backed up by underlying stats) but general consensus didn't see that cause he didn't have a finisher to convert his chances to goals. But Odergaard was close too, him Bruno Kdb top 3 attacking mids in the league. My issue was Theo dismissing Bruno so easily when it's so far from the truth.

I totally get why he wouldn't put Bellingham top 10, I wouldn't yet have him in there. But to suggest there is no case to be made for him being top 10 CM is wrong imo. He won the Bundesliga player of the year ahead of Kimmich so there is case that he is top 10.

I don’t see why no-one is talking about modric being so high on both Theo’s and Reev’s lists. Tom argued it but if you consistently watch Madrid & Croatia you can see how he’s not the same player which is understandable now but his hyperbole over his international retirement and monumental career takeover the narrative. Kroos & camavinga moving into cm from being forced as a leftback were so much better than Modric + Valverde this season.

Agree with Tom here 100%. Bellingham is unbelievable and absolutely will be up there, but all these players have been established for years. If Bellingham is that high for Theo and Reev then how is Musiala not also getting a shout. I get he's often played a bit more advanced than Bellingham but I'd still consider him a midfielder. Also the disrespect for Bernardo Silva here is unreal.

This just shows the issue with football today, Bellingham, Musiala, Camavinga, aren’t top 10, then will be…but aren’t now! They’re future prospects players who have more than enough quality to achieve this, but they’re too young! This is how footballers get there careers ruined, too much is put on them at such a young age
