Hi Tony, ive just done this to my restored 1988 Sammi here in the UK. What a difference to the heating ! I had a few leaves but just debris covering the fins of the core, i also sucked out some plastic sheeting that had been in for a while, now the heaters too hot on fan position 1 - before fan3 was weak. Thanks so much. I used a 40mm saw & plug. Oh and I had a Stella, cant get Miller high-life over here

I did something similar but cut a square hole and patched with gorilla tape. Made an attachment to my shop vac to get into the very back where it was tight with some 3/4 inch clear vinyl tube. It helped immensely with the heat in the cab. Unfortunately my heater box will have to come out to facilitate cleaning of the water separator. Most likely it is full of silt. Water pouring into the cab onto either my or my passengers calf and ankle after it rains isn't a good time. Neither are rusted out floors. Any recommendations on good videos showing the r&r of the heating system? Thanks in advance.

I’ve done this, but my defrost is still sub par.... it had a bunch of leaves in it from the previous owner, should I take the whole heater core housing apart and make sure the vents aren’t packed full? I can’t see any leaves inside there 🤷🏼‍♂️
