The headache continues! We get the HVAC boxes reinstalled and get all of the wiring harness hooked back up. Is it going to catch fire?
There are many ways to "skin the cat" and these are the methods that I use. Any criticisms or alternate methods posted in the comments are welcome, just keep it civil.

This 2 part series is by FAR the best DIY resource on fixing/replacing a heater core on a honda/acura. After watching this it is clear why the dealer charges over a grand to replace the heater core. Funny when the part is like less than $100z. All labor. Awesome Video and now a subscriber

At the very beginning of the assembly line conveyor at the Honda manufacturing plant, a tiny little “heater core” presents itself as the number one part, They now continue to connect and build the entire automobile around that core ! That’s why they call it a core ! 😂 😂 Great job my friend !

Those pipes are a dry fused to the heater core. Absolute nightmare to disconnect if you need to save the hose. Thanks for the video. I'm doing this on my 98 Prelude.

I do not envy you! I generally grab those hoses with pliers over the connection and give the hose a side to side twist. Not great for the hose but it your gentle you can probably save it. Good luck!

Lost a sd sims card behind the dashboard on my 95 honda odyssey. Only way to find is remove the dashboard. Tried all other methods. Used a boriscope to pinpoint no go. Too involved to remove

Why did you change heater core? Did you try to just flush it with water to unclogged it?

It wasn't clogged. It was leaking inside the car.

Do you have to get the AC evacuated and the high and low pressure lines disconnected? None of the other videos I've watched for an 01 Accord mentions this.

If I remember correctly, you can't get the heater box out without removing the evaporator. You could always leave it connected and see if you can work around it, but I don't think you can.

Hey, is it safe to drive without refrigerant in the car. Since you have to discharge all of it

It has a pressure switch so the compressor won't run with the system discharged.

Jesus.. I hope my 91 is easier.. no videos though. Thank you man. I tried to replace my hoses because had two go bad. I twisted the hose and cracked the core… moron.

Maybe try radiator stop leak product before you tear it apart. My condolences!

My heater core was not $25 it was $135
