I am a radio disc jockey (from Arkansas REPRESENT!), when I started in radio, all of our music was vinyl (makes me sound ancient), so just the sound of the cue burn at the beginning of this single gives me the happies! GOOD LUCK, hope you get all the plays!

I’m a rocker, always have been... But I was at my country loving brother-in-law’s house doing electrical work listening to “today’s country” on his tv, and upon hearing this gem, I was like... “Wow, who’s this”?... I started moving & groovin’ & loving this song as I was twisting the wires...

Just on Bob Harris in the UK. BBC. Awesome. Although I live in the US i listen to Bob to avoid the American radio system of who pays the most. Sounds like Chris Stapleton to me. Sweet!

Man I'm a fellow Arkansas musician and songwriter. I've been around the block so much living here and chasing my dream. I'm so happy for you man. I'm just happy someone here chased their dream and is actually making it come true. I've recorded and worked with a lot of folks from Nashville and the Grand Ole Opry, like Tim Crouch. He's an amazing fiddle player that's been on everyone's record like Alan Jackson and George Straight. That was 9 or 10 years ago for me. Got screwed by Black Oak Arkansas's old manager Butch Stone around 2016-2017, then I finally really got going there right before Covid19 hit after years of developing relationships and working to pay my dues and do ot the "right" way... I had gotten some momentum and was on a come up there for a good minute, but the virus devastated all the momentum I had built up. And now that things are starting to try to go back to normal, I want to get back out there and finish what I started... I'm 29 years old and just looking for an opportunity, not a hand out.. I'm moving to Nashville permanently literally in the next few months and man if you ever have a chance, please check me out. I'm an ex oil field worker myself. Local 692. I just need a shot. No handouts. If you are ever interested please give my music a listen. I'm friends with a few people you know and used to do acoustic shows with actually. I wish you nothing but success my friend. If you want, here is a couple of my older country songs i wrote about 8 or 9 years ago when I started my first band Westbound Murphy. It's called Westbound Revival now, but I dont just write Rock. I love all music and write folk an country still. But here are those songs, and thanks again if you take the time to read all this ✌❤ kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKWolpaYrMqsoaM kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4TSdGR_atKKidE

lyrics They say the bell will ring Class let out a long time ago and the world ain't Ever goin' back to the way we know it Well, call me crazy But I wouldn't buy that lie even if they paid me I think we got a pretty damn good thing goin' [Chorus] Oh, but time still crawls, the flag still flies Mama still cooks and God won't die Dogs still hunt, men man up A little bit of red just runs in your blood Yes sir, yes ma'am, handshake deals Rock still rules, keepin' it real And three chords and the truth ain't goin' nowhere Yeah, old school's still in out here [Verse 2] Yeah, they can do their thing But for us, it's one of those mind-our-own, really-don't-care things But don't go steppin' on our steel toes We don't need no change where the water tanks grow [Chorus] Time still crawls, the flag still flies Mama still cooks and God won't die Dogs still hunt, men man up A little bit of red just runs in your blood Yes sir, yes ma'am, handshake deals Rock still rules, keepin' it real Three chords and the truth ain't goin' nowhere And I said old school's still in out here Yes, it is [Bridge] We still bank on the rain A calloused hand's still a measure of a man And we still pray 'Cause that's what Granddaddy did [Chorus] Where time still crawls, the flag still flies Mama still cooks and God won't die Dogs still hunt, men man up A little bit of red just runs in your blood Yes sir, yes ma'am, handshake deals Rock still rules, keepin' it real And three chords and the truth ain't never goin' nowhere Yeah, and I said old school's still in out here Yeah, old school's still in out here [Outro] (Out here, in out here) Yeah, yeah (Out here, in out here) Uh-huh (Out here) Oh yeah

Lyrics are a little cookie cutter, but the voice and guitar riffs take it back about 15 or 20 years. Reminds me of the Chris Cagle Play it Loud album. Overall I'm digging it man! Going to check out some more...
