i bought this album by pure instinct when it came out. i knew alot less of Trio's music back then, and i fuckin love this. the whole thing rules

I think its not like most songs when you're sad. If you listen to a happy song to try and cheer up it just feels like someone saying "Damnit i don't give a fuck, you better get happy right now!" but when you listen to heavens or alkaline trio it's more like somebody saying "Yeah i get where you're comming from man, life sucks sometimes, but it's ok we'll work our way through it together."

If you guys enjoy Heavens please check out The Alkaline Trio. Matt Skiba is lead vocals for both bands, though Heavens was just a side project & Alkaline Trio is the main band.

Arielle Duncan Dan and Matt share lead vocals. props to pushing more exposure toward trio though! although we know damn well if you don't know Trio, you probably don't know Heavens lol....in Heavens, Matt seems to almost have a NIN/Trent Reznor vibe. as in, alot darker and almost a slower sadder sound. I love a few songs on this cd, but the Sekrets 2 cds are killer. It's like he basically put out a more upbeat trio, for those of us patiently waiting for the next Alk3 CD to drop

Heavens is a good band, take the stabbing, melancholic morbidity of AT's lyrics, with the groove of Depeche Mode. It works. ;p
