Aw, I'm so sorry. Yea, gosh Audit was absolutely ridiculous! It's so vague. I got super lucky with both FAR and BEC, passing with a 75 😂 what's funny is Aud is the only exam I failed and I ended up having the highest score on audit than the other 3. Those exams are no joke! Good luck with it, I hope you're done soon!

I was more confident that I passed AUD than FAR when I walked out, but I was so much more relieved at finding out I passed because of how frustrating the content is. I reviewed one weak area, I became weaker in another. Maybe it's because I'm in tax, but REG is such a breath of fresh air it feels like I'm retaining information once I can understand it.

Your story gives me hope. I just received a failing AUD score, kind of badly failing too and after passing FAR with an above average score on my first attempt. I'm not going to let this stop me. I realized when I took FAR that there is some luck involved in this an plenty fail at least on section at least once. I have a form of IBS too, I know the struggle. I agree especially with what you said around 9:00 it feels like when I took AUD they went out of their way to give me SIMS on stuff that I spent less time on.

Congratz on passing AUD! I can't imagine what relief that is for you taking it the fourth time Plus, you're halfway there now. I ended up getting a 65 on AUD on my first rodeo and I'm waiting on FAR before I figure out my study plans in 2019. I just too AUD and passed it this last quarter too. To your point about the simulations being different on the exam than the study guide, I felt 100% the same way, except I use Wiley. I flew through through the MCQ's and nailed them. I got to the TBS' and I thought, "Dang, did the computer just switch to the LSAT or something?" I bombed them. I didn't even understand what they were even asking. I guess I did well enough on the first part to carry me through the rest of the exam. It sucked. Even FAR was easier, in my opinion. Anyway, congrats on passing and sticking with it!!!!

@Carson, AUD is a tricky exam because they are playing with words! Make sure you read every SINGLE SOLITARY word in the question to make sure you know what exactly they are asking. Goodluck! You got this! :)

I stopped doing Sims after my first exam. I think they’re generally good to reinforce the module topic, but the chances of you getting something even close to that is 0.00001%. As long as you understand your topics and concepts, you’ll be surprised how you’ll be able to work most Sims you get on the real exam

PS3rocks09 different things work for different people for sure. You'll never get the same Sim on the exam, that's not the point. It's learning how to manage time, and read through what's important, what's not important, hints along the way. I definitely would not have passed audit without doing over a 100 sims for practice beforehand. But everyone is different!

Simulations for FAR on Wiley are the same...a simulation focuses on the topic/lesson it’s covering or pertaining to...however...on the real exam...the Exhibits cover numerous topics simultaneously which intimated me...causing me to get a 57 on my first attempt.

First of all, thank you for your valuable insight as I'm preparing for the audit exam. I've crushed FAR and REG (99 on both actually, humble me patting myself), but Audit is the hardest for me being that like math, am working in tax and I'm much better at calculations than making subjective judgements, but I need to score at least 92 to stand a chance for the Elijah Watt Sells award so I'm trying to give it all I got. One note regarding the AICPA exam scoring though: You are correct that your score is not necessarily a percentage of how many questions you answered correctly. However, according to the AICPA, 100% of candidates can pass in a single quarter if they accumulate enough points. They don't tell us much about the scoring, but I understand that questions and simulations are weighted according to their difficulty.

That was definitely the most difficult of the exams for me. Audit is pretty vague and less black and white. Keep your head up, stay focused and you can push through! You’ve got this.

Becker now has it where there is a skills practice video for almost every single simulation. Those are very in depth in helping you understand the concept. To answer your previous question, since I only used Becker, I can't really fairly answer if there is another review course with better equipped Sims out there. But happy studying and good luck!!

I don't think any Review course is the best when taking TBS. I used Roger and only went through a few. Most people just say focus on MCQs which helped me the most. I took BEC 3 times and the TBS are always different and sometimes easy. The aicpa website also helps because I did a sample test and seen similar/same questions on the exam. They had questions I never seen.

Considering I purposely took FAR last (I did a video explaining why!), then I'd say take whichever exam first that you want to take first. Every person is different! I think the main reason "everyone says to take FAR first" is because it is the most amount of material to get through to study and takes the most amount of time. For me though, it took me 10 months to pass Audit haha and less than 3 months to pass FAR

The sketchy websites are probably virus-prone lol I googled so many times and clicked through so many sites I don't even know where I ended up but prob wouldn't recommend it. Lol but DO use the AICPA practice TBS for the audit section. Those helped me a lot before my third take (and fourth). Good luck! I definitely relate to how you're feeling. You'll get it!

Jenifer Bermudez I will say don’t stress too hard on the law material, it’s a small portion of the exam but you still want to understand it somewhat. I did really well with business law in school so it came easier for me but I’d say just go through as many MCQs on those two units as you can

Hiiiiiii I've applied for Audit Exam 3 times, unfortunately I did not pass, now I'm planning to apply for the 4th time. currently I'm using Becker, any advises or tips to pass this beast exam! I had the same issue with the audit exam. I just studied my brains out as hard as I could until I passed. There is no real secret, just study your weak areas and be comforted by the fact that every exam is different!

Drew J was this your first cpa exam ever? If so, there’s definitely a learning curve there! I failed audit BAD that first time too. Keep your head up and even though REG is changing on you, I feel as if it will be more manageable with all the changes. The new tax reform is easier to understand for most people and that may help you. Don’t give up! But I know exactly what you’re feeling. Especially when it seems as if everyone around you is passing so easily. Lol you’ll get it!

I passed my last section of the CPA Exams last month (which was AUD) after taking it 5 times. I scored three 73’s and a 69 before passing with a 81 lol. 😂 I passed the other sections easily though. Btw, I have CPA videos and other fun videos on my channel too!

Hi Rachel, How you prepared for simulations? I got 70, 74, and 69 and all of them o got weaker in sim which I felt like I did a lot of exercises before the exam.

@@patphat3997 I supplemented my review course with Ninja and practiced all the sims there. I also practiced the sims on the AICPA website, which I highly recommend you do. Sometimes I think it comes down to how lucky you are with the sims you get. Don't give up and you will eventually pass. Good luck!

Carl Bael audit is one of the 4 CPA exams. There’s Business Environment Concepts (BEC), Audit (AUD), Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR), and Regulation (REG). You have to pass all 4 to be a CPA
