I have a suggestion, just for information and comparison purposes, tell us what you weigh each week. You can do sets of 3 at what I can do a single at, but I weigh 67kg (I'm short) and I'm guessing you weigh more, so I'd like to know how I measure up to your strength. It would also be good to show how slow it is to put on lean muscle - you're not making 5kg jumps every week, I don't think people really have a good grasp of it.

@Gustav Mahler A real gym usually has more of what you need. More weights, more types of bars, more machines, more specific equipment, etc. I can't really work out at home, other than just doing some moves to keep me going when I can't make it to the gym. Let's be real also....I'm not competing against anyone, but in a gym, I know I go a little harder, a little longer, and a little heavier because I know there are people watching....just saying .

I’ve brought my rear delts up a very good bit over the past few months by doing a reverse fly. I perform it bent over with a cable for the constant tension and harder resistance curve. I use a lighterish weight to where I do it very strict until it starts burning then crank out as many cheats as I can focusing on eccentric. I perform three variations: arm straight out (180 deg) and the other two probably around 140 and 220 deg. I feel it differently each way and allows me to add more volume each session.
@bigc181
@bigc181 5 жыл бұрын
My brother use a wide grip row. If you've got the cable row machines attach the lat pull bar to it. Keep back straight as possible and do full range of motion with elbows beyond body and bar right into stomach. Jeff Cav did a video on this method. I do no isolation for any of my delts and they're more developed than ever with this
@cattfischh
@cattfischh 5 жыл бұрын
Chris To each their own. Most people have a hard time taking the traps out of the movement. I think it was Mike Israetel that said “Isolation kicks the **** out of compound movements for rear delts”.

for muscle growth/hypertrophy alot of people say a high 8-12 rep range is most ideal, can you overload at these rep ranges by just adding reps and raising the weight when you can do the higher weight for that same reps? Also is this advice even completely right?

Great video! I just started doing a upper/lower split, and I wanted to ask what you think of my upper routine. I start with flat barbell/dumbbell bench press, seated shoulder press, lat pulldowns, and a horizontal pull (I do all of these exercises for at least 5 sets in the 6-10 rep range). What do you think, Scott? It takes me about an hour and a half to two hours to complete this workout because I do shoulder, bicep, and triceps isolation exercises at the end. I feel like I take too long in the gym.

I have a serious question. My understanding is that you should take your sets until you have 1-2 reps left in the tank before failure for maximum gains. If you are increasing the weights between sets and the rep attainment is (about) the same (example: 150lbs 8 reps; 160 lbs 8 reps; 170 lbs 7 reps), I would think you are not using enough weight in the initial sets. Thoughts?

One : You forgot side delts.... Two : keep your chin on your chest to work chest when doing Dips... Triceps will work either way..... But with chin on chest You can better contract your chest

I didnt forget anything. I chose not to have side delts in this workout. I have a separate shoulder day where I do more volume movements 👍

@@MrUseless247 I just moved my abs to the warmup. I hit them first thing, and then do some stretching and getting loose. It's probably not the best way, but it the only way I can make sure that I get them done. If I have something left or a little time, I can add some more at the end. Abs suck (at least for me) but I got to do them any way I can.
