Looks like W’boro has changed a bit since I lived down there in the early 2000’s. The embankment park down by Hovis next to the Nene always flooded and at Billing, the sewerage works flooded and run over the aquadrome camping fields. 🤢🤢

I’ve been thinking how nice it would be to turn the fields opposite the splashpark into permanent wetland for the birds. It looks lovely. 💜

Cheers Purple, it was doing this in the 70’s but it looks like the recent developments haven’t helped. Looks like Tesco got away with it. Great Drone footage. I hope the swans get some food.

Never understood why Billing Caravan park was not moved years ago. Every year regularly it gets flooded and the people have to be evacuated.

I didn't know Wellingborough had a water park. 😲. The more building they do the more run off there will be, concrete and tarmac does not absorb water! In most modern developments the drainage is usually put in too shallow and with poor gradients (Cost saving) End result everything backs up! PS: I was right about the hair cut, looking good there Bro. 😉👌👍.

Hi purple 😊 I'm back😊I go all the way to kessingland beach when I could have stayed at Wellingborough by the sea 🌴🏖️🌊 good job they spent a month doing the water park up for the kids this year 😂 If they hadn't dug that flood lake out near ditchford, would Wellingborough town centre be flooded?😂Mary says are you booked in to get ya haircut finished off properly 😂😂😂

So here we are again, Northampton open there Locks and send it down to us....... just to push it out into The Wash. 01:50 mins A month ago everyone was splashing around in there. Will give them something to think about, when they are ready to lay that new through road to Stanton. (is that still on) to redevelope the land. 06:25 mins that park area at Stanton wasn't developed very good, floods easy..... needs drainage trenches. (And he had his hair cut 🙃)
