I'm so hype right now you shouted me out on the rice bowl tip I gave you!!!!!!! Listen young brotha, it is an awesome way to get a stronger grip. Literally go to Walmart, get yourself a bag of Jasmine uncooked rice.....fill up a bowl ( the Kind we use for potatoe salad in other words a big bowl) then just alternate grabbing the rice with each hand. Now, when you grip it, grip it likes it a million dollars on a windy day, hold each grab for 2-3sec a piece. To start do a pyramid set. So do 15-12-10-5 then back up. That's the workout for that day...( as far as your hands go)...... Then do that once or twice a week for a month.......I guarantee you will see a difference. Thanks again for shouting me out......Bryan Kendrick in Coatesville Pa
@tylad987 жыл бұрын
Bee Kendricks what just hold the rice you mean?
@grownman10177 жыл бұрын
Chaka No, you are not "holding"...... You are squeezing it!!! Hard as hell too each rep, and hold the squeeze for 2-3sec
@tylad987 жыл бұрын
Bee Kendricks so you squeeze the rice do you try and bring it out of the bowl or what? Is there a video on yt wi something similar
@grownman10177 жыл бұрын
Chaka Lol.....listen carefully, I think you are over thinking this one bro. 1. Fill big bowl with uncooked rice. 2. Alternate thrusting each hand into bowl, grab and squeeze , hold squeeze what's in your hand for 2-3 seconds. 3. Release, repeat. That's it brotha.....this will increase your grip strength big time!!

What is the reason to do legpress instead of just squatting? Is it just to save the low back? In that case aren't you just missing out on extra gains? I've always felt this way and if I'm wrong I'd be happy to listen to some reasoning

Try front squats with straps until you can get your whole hand around the bar. It will mobilize your front rack very quick
@jackemarleeyoung7 жыл бұрын
Do you recommend those kicks over the nike Romaleos?
@samwhyman74017 жыл бұрын
with those type of straps you need to use chalk because other wise they will keep slipping they will not snap under heavy load but they will slip if you don't use chalk I know from experience
@rubenfernandez3047 жыл бұрын
you could also put one hand over the bar and one hand under the bar so you can hold the bar better

Honestly I would try hookgrip rather then just relying on your regular grip if I was u I'd look into it more bc I do it with my hang cleans and power cleans and it's helped a ton

Look up on amazon cobra straps. They are like the versa except the strap part is in he shape of a cobra head. Covers much more area of the hand. They are the best straps I’ve ever used. The ones in your video I’ve used before and they suck ass. The cobra ones are super comfortable, a lot of friction so it won’t slip, and it takes like 2 sec to get in place

@TerronBeckham7 жыл бұрын
+isiah298able this way is much better for weightlifting .. cross arm is bodybuilding style

Terron F.Beckham thanks bro
@smurftomten7 жыл бұрын
Cross arm method is used when you have low flexibility. For example bodybuilders. The form used in the video is a must for weightlifting, because that's the grip that you use for the clean and jerk. :)

I’m super happy you are enjoying the Olympic Lifts. They are addictive. However, your physique will decline if you continue with them for a long time. You got to be willing to give up some physique for strength. You’ll be an amazing Weightlifter once you get more mobile and comfortable with the lifts. You’re already strong as hell
@noelfitzgibbon667 жыл бұрын
Fat people potentially making good weightlifters does not equal the causality of the Olympic lifts making you fat.........you absolute spanner.
@WhaddupImJohn7 жыл бұрын
Joshua Turney uh....no. Look at the chinese weightlifters, yes they supplement their weightlifting with some bodybuilding-type accessory work but their traps and shoulders and legs are predominantly from weight lifting
@jakobmayr86967 жыл бұрын
Noel FitzGibbon he doesnt mean he has to become fat. He means his arms and chest are preventing him to get in a good front rack position so he should stop training them if he wants to be a good weightlifter.
