I think it's worse than that - it's 20 moves for a possible resign, lmao from that final position there is still not a clear mate-in-N line, it's just a favourable position for white, but not a win per se - stalemate or repetitions could still happen in a human game that starts from that board

I love the mention of Jonas Neubauer in the quote, if anyone follows Tetris he was an absolute legend and he passed away recently. I'm glad to see people outside the Tetris community acknowledging his passing as he was not only the best player to play the game, but a wonderful person as well!

It's so sad that Jonas Neubauer died. He seemed like such a sportsmanlike friendly giving person. A force to be reckoned with and graceful in victory and defeat. I am rarely sad when hearing of a death of a person but that news was just miserable.

At 16:00 In that position, Robert Hess stated that Qc8+ wins on the spot because if Carlsen responds Kg7, Qc3+ captures the rook. If Nf8 was the response, d7 and the passed pawn is unstoppable. If Carlsen insists with the attack by Rxb3+, Then Ka2 and the attack is over.. The c2 pawn is nicely defended by the Queen on c8.

@@josephdestaubin7426 that 2018 WC game 12 where he agreed to a draw in a slightly better position with good positional advantage was the beginning of the end for him. It only meant that his classical game is not head and shoulders anymore with the rest of the competition. The 22-23 year old Magnus would be disappointed. I reckon we'll have him as world champion for about 5 more years before the competition finally catches up to him and he's no longer the overwhelming favorite to win every tournament he plays in. Of course, I wouldn't bet against him as he'll still be a slight favorite against anyone in his good days

Recently magnus' performance is not that great, no one knows if he is tired of playing continuously if he is underplaying and testing other lines for the world championship, since he might be fighting against the entire world

No, Magnus wants other players to stop respecting him. He has repeatedly said this in his streams. He likes being challenged, but he hates to lose :-)

@@colaboytje I just wonder if he missed Nxb5 altogether or if he didn't think Esipenko would play it. I also don't think he would have allowed the option of Nxb5 to players like Caruana or Nakamura.

I love this game, cuz it's unpredictable, every thing is possible . No one would thought he would beat magnus and the guy calmly acts nervous while he was makes top moves. Hats off
