Esipenko has a day off from the tournament and was asked after his victory what he's planning on doing and he answered I'm going to the supermarket. Gotta love this guy,. How many people on this earth can do what he just did ? Not many.

Crazy how even though Ezipenko has a completely winning position, Magnus grinds it til the end and always finds good threats. It speaks of how cold Ezipenko's performance was, because just one false move and Magnus crushes you. Amazing analysis like always by Agadmator

What an amazing feeling it must've been to take down the World Champion who was unbeaten for 120+ classical games. And you are only 18 years. Holy shit. His smile said it all post game.

@@josephdestaubin7426 that 2018 WC game 12 where he agreed to a draw in a slightly better position with good positional advantage was the beginning of the end for him. It only meant that his classical game is not head and shoulders anymore with the rest of the competition. The 22-23 year old Magnus would be disappointed. I reckon we'll have him as world champion for about 5 more years before the competition finally catches up to him and he's no longer the overwhelming favorite to win every tournament he plays in. Of course, I wouldn't bet against him as he'll still be a slight favorite against anyone in his good days
