You clearly don't understand the implications. Those tanks represent the side-effects of ARI becoming permanent due to Norman no longer taking the drugs that counter it. The only difference is it's less direct than a flat-out fatal overdose. This one is showing ARI bleeding into his reality - he will eventually devolve into an incurable paranoid-schizophrenic with psychotic episodes due to continued use of ARI without the drugs to stop brain-damage.

You've got it in reverse. Those tanks represent the brain-damaging effect of ARI now becoming permanent. I don't know how anyone can even think for a second this is hopeful in any way. He will devolve into an incurable paranoid-schizophrenic with psychotic episodes.

People dont seem to understand Jayden endings, so im going to try to explain it the best way possible (Beware, my english is not perfect) ARI is like a controlled schizoprenia. It makes possible to imagine things that arent real like they were actually real, same as a psicotic episode does, but controlled. The thing is that with time, jayden starts to suffer a self induced schizoprenia that he cant control. So, he uses an antipsychotic (triptocaine) to stop this uncontrolled psychotic episode. Problem is, tripto causes addiction. The endings explanation is like this: -Jayden stops using ari and tripto, and so ends his schizoprenia, and lives in the real world. -Jayden uses both ari and tripto, and he dies from a overdose.(numerous tripto vials in the floor) -Jayden uses Ari, but not tripto, and develops a full wild schizoprenia, and starts having psychotic episodes. -Blake uses ari, and sees jayden. This is not real jayden tho, is a construct that his mind created in the Ari, most likely because he was thinking about jayden when he put on his glasses.

If people keep asking why Carter Blake and his colleagues are being such an ass towards Jayden, isn't it obvious that they are actually feeling very inferior with Norman's presence? Because one, Norman is an agent of a higher rank than them. Blake made it clear when he said the local police won't trample on evidence even though they're not in the FBI and think Norman is one of those bureaucrats behind the desk ordering people around and showing off his high tech gadget only FBI agents could use. Have to admit, those moments seeing Blake flipping off on Norman a lot of the times and Norman giving a piece of his mind to Blake again were pretty funny. Two, their rivalry was very serious with Blake keep saying he's the one who found OK w/o having to have a profiler like Norman. He looks down on Norman thinking that Norman's method was a waste of time and unnecessary. Norman was the intelligent, by book kind of guy and had to take a lot of crap from them seeing he's the only FBI guy around. Even Perry said he didn't want the FBI to be involved but had no choice since the OK case got even bigger. Too obvious that these policemen had such huge egos and yet inferior at the same time. So you should see why everybody is having inferiority complex thinking they're supposedly good enough in doing their jobs and yet still needing one FBI guy around them to 'monitor and assist' them? Indirectly means that they're not able to do their jobs well. So of course the hissy fits by Blake all the time. I've been in Norman's shoes before. Believe me when you're from a higher rank and have to work with people like Blake and Perry, it is hell.

Honestly, I find the 2nd ending to be the best one for Norman. He gets to live, Shaun gets to live, and he doesn't remain addicted to ARI.
@RopeDrink6 жыл бұрын
For the uninitiated, Norman has two distinct issues. ARI, his hi-tech glasses - which can eventually cause lasting brain damage - and Triptocaine - a drug that helps counter its effects, though said drug is highly addictive. Norman is so hell-bent on solving this case that he will resign if he fails (ie. someone else saves Shaun without him), which turns out to be the best outcome as he hands in his glasses, opting to live in the 'real world', and has no reason to continue taking the drug (though whether he overcomes the addiction is unknown). Alternatively, if Shaun dies, Norman will succumb to guilt and eventually die via overdose. If he solves the case and saves Shaun - regardless of taking or avoiding Triptocain - he will inevitably start showing signs of permanent brain damage thanks to ARI - as shown by digital tanks now being visible to him in reality. Of course, just like Ethan and Madison, he can also be killed in various ways throughout the game, to which Blake will try on his glasses and be spooked by 'uploaded Norman'. In short, there's no truly 100% 'good' ending for Norman. He either dies during the case, overdoses afterwards, becomes schizophrenic afterwards, or fails the investigation - which is the closest thing to giving Norman a 'normal life', thus, it's the closest thing to a good ending Norman has in the game. It's a sad fact that if Shaun dies, two of the four playable characters are guaranteed to off themselves, even if they make it to the end.

By the way, I would like to inform you that whether you take the Tripto or not, doesn't affect his endings. The actual way of getting "Smoking Mirrors" and "Case Closed" is that all characters fail to find Shaun and Norman survives for the former, and Norman solves the case and survives for the latter. Also, I've heard that the hallucination cannot happen if you don't use the ARI glasses too much or solve the clues fast enough, but not sure if it's true.
@RopeDrinkАй бұрын
@@jinthekingkazama1159 The outcomes are set in stone. There is no way to avoid the hallucinations. You either die before the ending, solve the case (and become schizophrenic), overdose if Shaun dies -- or resign (if Norman failed to show up for the finale and Shaun still survives). If you want to test that theory, then make Norman leave every crime scene immediately, never put on ARI, and let Madison give Norman the address. He will still hallucinate, because the ending literally shows him continuing to use ARI for later investigations (to a point where the effects finally take root).

That or whatever ends up happening to him in the aftermath of the “Uploaded” ending when he sees Norman walking towards him when he has on the ARI glasses. Personally I’d like to think Norman slowly causes Blake to go insane by torturing him through the glasses, making him go through the same thing he did when he experienced withdrawal from Triptocaine.

Make sure you do lots of searching in the fish tank place where Scott almost kills you. You should find a gun and some gas station receipts. Maybe a bullet, but I think those two are the most important. While in ARI the last time, make sure you look at the recording in the "clues" box. Go back to when Scot was choking you on the desk, and pause it and analyze. It should zoom in on his wrist. Do a geo search on the gas receipt and the "?" box. Hope this helps.

Great character, much love. Just wish there was more of a way to punish or befriend Blake during the story.
@jinthekingkazama1159Ай бұрын
Blake was indeed one of the characters that were the most hateful, alongside Paco, Charles, Perry, Mad Jack, and Baker. And also Leland if you count Madison's DLC.

If he can think and act at the same time then he doesn't need the ARI all the time.

Shit, all Jayden's endings suck. He resigning from FBI might be the best one for him, screwing Ethan, Shaun and maybe Peige in the process, but, leading a normal life in real life. If he becames the hero, he goes on, investigating and shit, but probably got a permanent brain damage from using AIR too much, even if he resists Tripto. And, loose in despair and overdose in Tripto... If he isn't killed in the investigation, that is.

Necro DetonadosBR if you don't take triptocain through out the game the tank scene didn't appear it ends with him flushing the triptocain down the toilet

@malpuro Yup. The hallucinations are a type of brain damage caused from using the ARI too much. (As you can see when you check out his wall-ball score. Its in the 10000's even though one bounce = 1 point O_o)

He can create projections based on his thoughts on triptoicane but can still fight and is quick witted but can die while being overpowered or losing control of himself.

I genuinely feel bad for Norman, he did so much throughout the game. Only for some lame ass endings. The closest thing to “happy” is where he leaves the FBI. All the others are depressing in some way. Especially when his schizophrenia starts showing him ARI things in the real world. I wish they gave him better endings.
@haljordan74016 жыл бұрын
He can focus and change reality.

Who knows, with "Case Closed," he could get over the whole Tanks thing through taking a break from ARI. Maybe they were just lonely, and wanted Norman to play with them for a change. After all, ARI has interacted with him before.

(Cont'd) So the reason why Jayden starts seeing tanks in the real world is because his mind still thinks he's using ARI, or that his brain is beginning to think ARI's world is real and is jumbling it together. Now this leaves his ending open in that Jayden could stop using ARI for a while, after being freaked out by what he saw, and restoring his brains functionality back to normal. Or he continues using it and the visions get worse. Or he tells his superiors allowing them to fix it later.

Norman was my favourite character and i was dissapointed that the only semi-good ending for him is leaving the force
@Schaly12 жыл бұрын
@malpuro The more he plays it the more it goes up not just for one sitting. But the fact that he has a score that high, shows just how much he's using the ARI outside of work related stuff. Which is in itself a sign of addiction But the thing that is clear cut is that using the ARI in excess causes the user to have a hard time differentiating the real world from the artificial world due to damage to the brain over prolonged use. The score is just an indication of just how much he's been using it

Shame, Norman is easily the best character in the game and all of his endings suck for him. A. He dies. B. He fails his investigation and resigns from his job (possibly leaving other characters to die). C. He accuses Blake,is mocked, and sent back home. D. He succeeds in his investigation, but is then fucked for the rest of his life from Ari use. Even if he refuses to take the Tripto whenever possible. We couldn't have one ending where he succeeds, gives up Ari without any consequences, and lives happily ever after?

It would be so cool for a sequel for this game where there's only Norman as a playable character. Since ARI was still going on in his head even when he took the ARI off, it leaves him with ARI in his head permenantly. He could use that to solve crimes without the glasses and work as a private investigator kicking some crime ass.

the scene were he he sees the tanks dose not happen if you resist the drug every time its the same scenes just minus the last one witch is a good ending for him

People here saying Jayden has the worst endings, but I think Lauren has the worst possible endings, she either dies, gets arrested for murder, or realises she fell in love with her son's killer. Atleast Jayden has the resignation ending which is somewhat good for his mental health.

it depends on how many times you decide to take the triptico, not how long you use ARI. that second to last one is the scariest i think. trapped in ARI forever.
