I enjoy watching Alan work. I grew up in northwest Montana with ranchers and loggers; he reminds me of those men: get what needs to be done with what you have on hand: just make it happen. Diesel Dave personifies the ethic I learned from them too. These guys, Hunter and the rest of the team make a dynamic crew…about the only men who can keep up with Heavy D and his drive. “Heavy” D: Driven Dave the Dreamer and Dynamic-Leader (I couldn’t come up with an appropriate D word for a strong leader without negative connotation like Dominion or such, because from what I see and people who I know who know him, he is not that way. A fellow Utah resident, we cross paths occasionally. My favorite story is my daughter was working in a Maverick gas station and the Sparks crew stopped for fuel; coming from a big recovery job, a couple guys tracked dirt in the store and Dave got a broom and cleaned it up. ❤

When charging with solar and looking for low weight and high efficiency this is a hard pill to swallow.

After the Zombie Apocalypse it’s men like these guys who will restart society! The wealth of knowledge and the know how to put it to use you don’t get at university with a four year arts degree. I don’t think that machines have a soul, but I do believe that we leave a residue of our own on machines that we work with, I imagine that all the men who worked long hard hours on those machines left a little something behind on them, that something has been rekindled, and those machines are eager to come back to life, so to speak. Well done to the whole crew! Cheers from Tokyo!

The view and the crew are all-star quality. If I were a kid again, this is how I'd play with my toys. Instead of building roads, I'd do a recovery with army soldiers, pull chains, and elastic bands, and last but not least wear HeavyD merch.
