James, great video! As an HK fanboy (HK is my pistol brand of choice) I have been waiting on the HK CC9. Well, the wait is over. I just picked it up today and I absolutely love it! It feels great in my hand and I love the slimness of it. I had already ordered 2 extra 12-rd mags for it and can't wait for the 15-rd mags to drop. I'm taking it to the range in a few days to run 300 rds through it. HK is not 'late to the party' whatsoever. Those of us who love HK know how they operate. They take their time, they do things right. And they always release a high-quality product. The HK CC9 is no different! It is my new EDC. 😎

Thank you for this thorough overview James! I am so excited for this gun! Many will make obvious complaints, without any experience with the actual gun. One thing I'm reminded of is the USP series... still seeing MIL/LE service 31 years later! Yet, with some competitors' guns, 1-2yrs in and they've already seen inline "updates" and discreet component changes (as opposed to recalls). There truly isn't another manufacturer you can rely on as much as H&K in knowing that whatever you buy is likely the most tested, durable, and reliable example on the market. I hope the modular frame design grows and propagates for H&K into other models. If we can ever one day see a modular frame LEM hammer gun from H&K, I can die a happy man! ;-)

Having a reliable and accurate weapon gives me the confidence I'll need if something goes south, and being one with your EDC is literally a critical life or death relationship! As much as I LOVE carrying my P2000 as my EDC, this might fill a role in sort of a smaller deep concealment type of package but honestly I'd just take my P30sk if I needed something like that, no paddle mag release, boo. Man. I waited years for the SFP9CC. I saved up and put money aside to buy 2 of them on day 1. Then they release this. I just don’t understand. They removed everything we love about H&K. No paddle release. No charge assist things. No classic H&K styling. This one just misses the mark on everything. I was really excited to add this to the safe next to my p30, p30L, Usp, and VP9. There is no way I’m buying the CC9. If they release the SFP9CC or “VP9CC” or whatever. I’ll still buy two. I guess I’m going to get a g43x instead. The one positive is you are 100% right about the plastic boxes. I have them just taking up space. The soft box thing is a lot nicer and they really did a good job on that. This kinda left a bad taste in my mouth as a H&K guy.
