Last Day at Whistler for the trip. I was joined by a few familiar faces and a few new ones. This ended up being and epic run with a ton of chaos. This video was filmed on the last day of Crankworx, and many trails were closed due to the on going Enduro race.

It is soo weird that - never been out of europe - I know so many lines and gaps at Whistler. The long gap on original sin on the long straight over that single rock at the end. Or the gap out of the berm where Hailey (sorry if misspelled) filmed you in the last video. I knew it a few seconds before you hit it😅 Probably I would have a LOT of fun in Whistler or generally in BC area. But the trails her in the Austrian Alps are sick as well. Keep it up man, love your content❤❤❤

To answer Phil's question at 12:54 on the cost of riding your own bike on a major mountain like Whistler or Kicking Horse. It will cost a derailleur or rim every second or third trip. Specially if you take a bike that hasn't seen a big mountain before. You are going to find every part on your bike that is not at 100% and break it. For that matter, a bumbler like me will take $5 of life off my brake pads with every run.

I have not uploaded these. I included brief snippets in other videos to give context. I think i showed how i bent my bars in either the coast gravity park video, or the video riding with Jeff in Bellingham.

Hi dude what sag do you use approximatel at the rear and front 🔥
@SkillsWithPhil
@SkillsWithPhil 11 ай бұрын
I start off with the recommended 15/20% sag and then go up from there. GT usually gives you a sticker with the measurements in mm. Typically i find the recommended sag to always be a little too soft and will add a little more air. I mentioned this is a previous video but I had to go up 20psi in the rear from my normal setup when i was at Whistler.

how do people bring their bikes to whistler if they have to fly in?
@SkillsWithPhil
@SkillsWithPhil 3 ай бұрын
They make bike bags, you partially dissemble your bike by removing the wheels, pedals and handlebars and then the bike all fits in a somewhat compact but still oversized bag. Most airlines have oversized exceptions for bike bags as long as they are under 70lbs. That being said, most people will choose not to fly with their bikes but rent a bike at their destination, but those riders who ride high end bikes or professionally riders will most often choose to bring their own as it can be weird getting to know a new bike.
