This is cool. Thanks for the tutorial. Can you pivot turn while rolling fast? Cause I tried and I did fell a lot. I don't know wheter I shouldn't do with speed or I need to practice more.
@Sk8Fam3 жыл бұрын
its actually easier when going fast. ujust have to get used to putting your foot down at the right time

I just binged watched a bunch of your videos lol. Can you make a tutorial on the different types of transitions? Specifically Mohawk turns? I would say I'm a pretty good backwards skater, but for some reason I absolutely CANNOT transition smoothly to where it looks really good. I don't understand why I'm not catching onto it, bc I'm quickly picking up on other things no problem! I'm gonna practice DIPS asap now that I've seen your video lol ☺

Is the mohawk turn the 180 turn when going backwards and turning forwards? if so I did a vid on it and just didnt know the name of it lol. but thanks for watching!

Thanks for this video. I have a question, once you do the first turn, which is toes down, can't you still come back around to the starting position also with toes down? Is it not a natural progression. I am trying to figure out of you can do either or (toes down or heels down) on the comeback.
@Sk8Fam4 жыл бұрын
yea u can do either or. its all personal as far as what feels more natural, but u can for sure do either way lol

Nice vid. Can you do tutorials on different ways to skate backwards as it pertains to jb skating. Or can you show different style ways to transition from skating forward to backwards and vice versa.

gotcha! n i did one video on turning around. check my tutorial playlist

Can you do a close up amd specify what foot is forward and how one direction is on toes and other direction on heels? It gets confusing to me !

It took this video for me to realize it's a pivot and not a jump. I've been jumping and turning the whole time
@Sk8Fam5 жыл бұрын
the jump is also a move. but with the pivot u can do more of them and do them in a faster succession.

Might be a dumb question but would it ruin my indoor wheels if I practice on a tennis court?
@Sk8Fam5 жыл бұрын
it could very well mess them up. not a dumb question at all. some indoor wheels hold up better outdoors than other indoor wheels, but its best to just get a pair of outdoor wheels or use an old pair of indoor wheels that you no longer use

I been practicing alot of the 1 foot pivots for a few months now its mad hard but them figure skaters look so cool doin it

This is the video I been looking for. I just posted a question on one of jrocks tutorial vids. I been trying to hold on to my boy and do transitions front to back with half spins but I end up taking us both out in the process. Think you can find a few people and make a vid doing that. Hope you know what I mean.

Milwaukee24 Sk8Fam indoor, I’m trying to learn how to turn fast indoors without having to jump . I know I can do the Mohawk turn but at high speeds it’s hard. I read today that fomacs would be easier , but I’m thinking they will be to slippery to skate in. I’m now looking into the sure-grip all American plus
@rootuser56524 жыл бұрын
Milwaukee24 Sk8Fam do you know if I could slide a little with the sure-grip all American plus wheels? So I don’t have to jump when I turn around (if I choose not to do the Mohawk turn - at high speeds that’s hard) Or better , make a three turn easier (I think that’s the name)
@Sk8Fam4 жыл бұрын
@@rootuser5652 im sure u can slide a tiny bit in sure grips. In foams u don't wear all 8 of em. just mix in a couple and u will get a good slide and still have some good grip. indoor I mostly use riedell og roller skates with elite bones wheels. sometime I use riedell juice skates with bones wheels
