Watched your video, Tom Bernaki (sp) , and read/skimmed through the post on heel pain from Michigan Foot doctors, and took action. I examined my walking shoes and noticed no padding in the heel, so I put the inserts from a pair of running shoes in my walking shoes. Plus I started stretching, esp. my achilles and my ham string, before, during, and after my walk. There was improvement right away and esp. noticed improvement the morning after the walk. This may be premature, but I don't think so. THANK YOU. Several years ago I noticed an odd noise coming from the under side of an old pickup I had. I avoided even considering investigating, because I was afraid I would be confused or ill equipped to diagnose and deal with the problem. When I finally stuck my head underneath it was simple to diagnose and fix the problem. Some how I feel there is a parallel between my truck and my foot.

You're great. I'm going to follow all your instructions. I never had foot pain in all my years of walking. All of a sudden the calf muscle pulled. I started doing exercises by stretching my foot upwards so much that I now have plantar fasciitis with a heel spur. I also was going around on my toes thinking that would help the calf. Now I sit and am depressed that I'm not getting my walks in. You're positive and I like that.

That is definitely a tough pain to have. If it doesn't get better just make sure to check with your podiatrist or primary care doctor to make sure there is nothing more serious going on. Love the Hoka shoes. They work great to limit ankle and foot bending. But they are heavy and clunk for some people. These are the exact opposite of minimalist shoes, but we are best results with them!

Hey doc, I been having ankle pain since I roll it about 7 month ago then when the er x-ray they say I have heel spurs and I did see a foot doctor he told I can be few other things happening yea I still have ankle pain and some days it to the point I can't stand on it and I work 12hr shift and a plant I wear an ankle brace with a steel toe shoe I still have pain and it's to point it's effecting my work,

Due to a stroke I have to have shoes with Velcro. Do any of your recommended shoes come with Velcro instead of traditional laces?

Consider shoes like anodyne or Dr.Comfort, they may be a better option, an insole can fit in these!

So definitely not specific to your situation, but there is no true defined connection between a virus and plantar fasciitis.

Plantar fasciits is strictly a biomechanical or traumatic cause

So again definitely not specific to you and don't take this as any advice, but morning pain is called post static dyskinesia, this can be a huge indicator of plantar fasciits!
