I like the rv6 because it is raspier than ATLP. Both are very lovely.though. Its a TL.

I have the rv6 j pipe with 3 vibrant resonator, and it does give that rasp sounds

Yes, sort of a characteristic sound. Hard to suppress it.

I just wanna note that the 3rd cat being deleted doesn’t matter everywhere. The third cat doesn’t even have a 02 sensor. The 02 sensors are generally up stream and down stream connected directly to the PRE cats on the block not the 3rd cat. And newer j series have the down stream 02 connected on the j pipe instead of the bottom side of the pre cats. 3rd cat delete doesn’t matter in Missouri where you still have to pass emissions etc

@@Heeltoe. was wondering about running either of these with the stock exhaust (cat back section) do I have to source a 2.5 to 2.25 adapter? Has anyone made any kind of test pipe for that?

This exhaust is non resonated. These numbers are at the hubs, so closer to actual crank HP.

planning on pairing the atlp v3 j pipe with the atlp race pipe (deleting the 3rd cat) will there be an audible difference in exhaust tone? i only have a mid muffler delete currently

although it's not designed for the Acura RL. it has the same J35A8 as a TL-S. I can use the same exhaust parts as it correct? like j-pipe and cat delete

+Brian O'Connor Well, yes, that is a good theory, but the RL also has an SH-AWD system so the pipes underneath are quite different, even up under the engine where the J-pipe needs to clear the transfer case.

Not fair. The RV6 was running on a ATLP exhaust. ATLP had home field advantage. Let's all see a video with the RV6 with the RV6 exhaust system.

+TheMajorPena RV6 really does not make a production exhaust, and actually such a test would be less telling than this one. You want to have the same exhaust with both j-pipes. This way you know what difference there is between j-pipes alone without the cat-back confusing the issue.

Mechanical Animal the difference is all wheel drive, thats about it. Although tlx has more power from factory simple bolt on mods on the tl will make it alot faster than the tlx

Yes, we have pipes for 03-07 Accord V6 on our site. All engines fit the same for all 7th gen Accords.

What would happen if I use atlp j pipe and rv6 hfpc on a 9th gen accord v6? I hear one is suppose to have more torque and the other is more top end. Does that mean I get a middle ground between the two?

ATLP generally makes more top end power, and RV6 generally makes more low rpm power. Although the 9g ATLP pipe we designed to be a little more mid-high than just mid-range.

Yeah those parts will work fine together. The cats and the j-pipe don't really work together in the way that you are thinking they might. They don't depend on each other to function optimally, in other words.
