i could mald but more than anything i am sad. my condolences to everyone else dissapointed by the direction the depiction of a universe and character has gone, when you were emotionally invested in it. idk how to end this direction in entertainment generally, but i have to believe that there simply isnt a direction, but a pendulum, never stopping. whether its a direction or a swing of the pendulum, depends on if concepts like videogames/fantasy falls under _tech_ or _art_, respectively

In HP Locecrafts short "Color Our of Space" a meteorite falls into a farmers well. The meteorite emits a color no one has ever seen before and it dazzles and stupefies people that see it. Over time the color starts stealing and corrupting the life around it. It's nice to see that Netflix has effectively managed to replicate that with Witcher: Blood Origins.

Actually it's quite interesting to compare this Michelle Yeoh vehicle to her biggest role - Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - 20 YEARS AGO. That actually featured women's plights as a major theme. With her character and the young thief/princess dealing with their roles in a "patriarchy." Trying to do their duty even though it ruined their chances for true love. Food for thought

That is basically a lot of actors. Basically they have that one role which they are great in. Some of the actors who were considered "great", if you noticed carefully they always play that "same character with that same traits". Michelle Yeoh always played the stoic character from what I had seen, those she tend to excel.
