@@HegeOfficial funny, some reactors found the xylophonist’s exit and entry a distraction. This is what makes PMJ’s performances unique. Also, if you look carefully, you’ll see the drummer waving a tambourine at some point.

great reaction hege... haley reinhart embodies these songs like no other. she is not just singing... the music virtually exudes from her very being. the unique tone, artistic vocal acrobats, intense belts and unrivaled contrast from lows to highs are all amazing in themselves but what is really impressive is how well she perfectly combines it all together. haley is definitely next level but in many ways in a league of her own. if you like her live, i would also highly recommend her solo b/w performance "i put a spell on you", the fun jazz duet with jeff goldblum "my baby just cares" and her very intimate performance with her dad at chess records... in addition, her live american idol performances are also great especially her very unique renditions of "house of the rising sun" and "bennie and the jets, but be sure to search the "true HD" versions on youtube for best quality. enjoy! 😎

Haley is nothing short of amazing. Her voice, her style, her stage presence, just wow. She has been such a showcase for Post Modern Jukebox, of which Scott Bradley is so brilliant with what he can do with a song. When I found PMJ about three years ago, I started to binge watch them all. Many times, PMJ's covers are better than the originals, IMHO.

Haley studied jazz at a music school in Illinois...she truly a unique talent.
@vidpie16 күн бұрын
Haley attended Harper College, a public community college. Haley studied Jazz Piano and sang with her professor's jazz trio. In high school, Haley was the first vocalist of her high school's jazz band. They performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy. Her parents are musicians. Haley's HS music director commented, "She's been exposed to a huge variety of music her whole life, and it shows comfortably in anything she attempts to sing." Scott Bradley of Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ) is the genius who adapts these contemporary songs and makes them sound like they always belonged in the era and style of his arrangements. Haley tends to stay closer to the original when she covers songs that have not been given special arrangements. She is a good songwriter as well. This is a great first experience of Haley’s original’s. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJOoiGt4p7OWqqssi=JAIj5SXvo_sM9Uvb It is a performance of “I Don’t Know How To Love You” direct to vinyl live in an historic Austrian hotel.

OMG Hege, I typed a thorough comment and it disappeared! I’ll try again 🙂 First of all THANK you so much for taking my “persistent “🤭) suggestion to film this as a reaction video to Hayley’s astonishing performance. I was POSITIVE you’d love it and you sure did, obviously ❤️ It was as much fun for me to see and hear you reacting as it is whenever I watch this performance of Haley’s and PMJ’s for the ridiculously gabillionth time 🥰 And you, my friend, the way you can watch and listen, pause the video, and immediately replicate what you just heard using your own beautiful voice, perfect pitch, and repertoire of vocal techniques and knowledge, all so that you can demonstrate and explain what just went on??? So impressive and entertaining and endearing! ⭐️🙂🩷 I have a feeling you’ll be singing this number around the house and playing with your own vocals 😉 And Haley’s incredible talent, vocal techniques, voice quality, ability to nail any genre she’s immersing herself in, the theatrics and graceful dance moves, and the sultry arrangement and production of this song by PMJ, the band, the visual cinematic quality, etc etc are INSANELY good here! One of my all-time favorite performances of hers. I’m so happy you did get around to this one and made it such a fun experience too! You are quite the master teacher, we all learn so much from you! You’re the BEST, Hege❣️Thanks a million!

❤ Haley, my favorite vocalist of the 21st Century, and all things considered I don't think there is anyone going to replace her in that spot. That's not to take away anything from vocalists like Floor Jansen or Diana Ankudinova because they are all so talented and wonderful performers. Just that Haley's tonal quality hits my endorphin spot ever time I hear her sing. You said you'd heard her live several times, I only got one go at that in 2015 with PMJ. Have you ever listen to her yodel? She covered LeAnn Rhimes, Blue which can be seen on a couple of videos out there. One on IA and the other with her dad's band.
