I haven't detailed a car like that in YEARS. Such hard work!! When I did, I also took out tail lights and cleaned inside the lenses. Insane. The Beck owner should consider himself/herself lucky to have this attention to detail. Pun intended :D

Another great video - thank you. I use other products than Adams but I think Adams has very good stuff. Just a personal thing. LOL. Glad you caught the fact that tires were on wrong side and need to be switched. I would just add for those watching the video you would not normally rotate radials from side to side (only front to back, back to front) but Franny's point is these tires are simply on the wrong side due to the directional nature of the tires and the tires need to be changed from side to side to correct that error. Well done!

Of course if the tires are directional and you have a different size tire on the front versus the rear, you can't rotate the tires at all.

Your side view mirror IS adjustable. Loosen the Phillips screw. Have a helper adjust while you sit in driver seat. Tighten Phillips. Adjusted for life.

Franny, REALLY loved the Beck 550 series, and, have already recommended it to friends. Like others, I fear the OCD rabbit hole, appreciate the recommendations for products & agree- it looks (and now runs!) awesome. Not a bathtub Porsche lover (slightly before my time), but- love the Ferrari & 996 & 993- so, I'll need to set aside time for those as well! If you use isopropanol you should only use one from glass bottle. In pastic bottle it tends dilute some carbohydrates or polymers into it. I dont know how important it is but I once made the error and cleaned a camera sensor with isopropanol from plastic bottle - I will never do it again. I only use pharmacy bottled isopropanol now for that kinda work. I know the Ammo guy does not want to use the isopropanol for the same reason.

Thanks for that Mark. I am planning to do a complete detail on the MINI actually. I'll make sure I explain all that. Short story: It is used to pull embedded contaminates out of the top layer of the pain and will leave the surface silky smooth. It is an important step before buffing as those contaminates can clog up your pads and make the polishing difficult. You can use it without buffing, but I would recommend some form of wax/sealant for protection afterward. Franny

So neat! So I see Beck is still around...are they still a legit company if you wanted to order a car? I saw they are on an 18 month delay. I've done some other research and have seen other companies making these replicas but they take the deposits and either take years to finish the cars, never finish the cars, or just disappear.

I wish I could be as detailed as you are when taking care of cars........but, I just can’t! I use Adam’s Waterless Car Wash almost exclusively to clean my Porsche! And their Detail Spray for touchups. I did recently use their liguid wax which I’ll do once a year. I use the rest of my time to just drive! P.S. Another wonderful video........you did a great job fixing and detailing the Beck Spyder. Love your videos!

We did not price the heads. Owner took care of that. Maybe 100 bucks. The heads were probably a few hundred for each, but no idea. Heidi

Hi Steve, I should have mentioned more on that, but it was getting a bit long ;) Leather Seats... I have searched high and low for the best leather protectant, but most are really all the same. Leather is pretty different and, in cars, has all been painted. So, treatment is different than would be for like a leather saddle. I used Adam's leather protectant. It is as good and any other and has a UV protectant which I think is 1/2 the battle. Leather needs to be kept clean. Dirt and grit will grind it to a pulp and hand oils and salt can break it down as well. For now, I just try to keep the seats treated and clean. When I come across the perfect product I'll let you know! F
