She's calmly forming the signs of the runes with her body and arms while the guy on his knees (extremely forcefully) recites the Anglo-Saxon "Rune poem". I only recently "discovered" Heilung and this performance has already blown me away!

@lightfain199
@lightfain199 4 жыл бұрын
Lethean paganism refers to religions that are not a part of the main world religions (Christianity, Catholicism, Judaism, Buddhist, Islam, etc.) so Native American religions would qualify as Pagan as it is only practiced by a handful of people.
@erxfav3197
@erxfav3197 4 жыл бұрын
Light Fain it is pagan not because a handful of people practice it but because it is Godless and against God... The Hebrew God is against all witchcraft, spiritry and worship of other (false) deities... These things are not only deadly but death itself.. Death of the soul of man, and the celebration of it...
@lightfain199
@lightfain199 4 жыл бұрын
Anthony C that’s interesting, I always understood paganist beliefs as the religions that aren’t the norm so that’s nice, although that does bring up the point of, if pagan religions are pagan because they are Godless, wouldn’t that make Eastern religions like Buddhism and Taoism pagan as well?

Gospel of Jesus Christ - Matthew: „The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren; And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram; And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon; And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias; And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa; And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias; And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias; And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias; And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon: And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel; And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor; And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud; And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.” (Chapter 1...

@sudsmccool2311 These priests (the Druids), Brahmins of India spread themselves widely through the northern regions of Asia even to Siberia itself, and gradually mingling with the great body of Celtic tribes (Kalatoya people to the south of Kashmir) pursued their journey to the extremity of Europe and finally established the Druid i.e. the Brahmin system of superstition in ancient Britain. This I contend was the first Oriental colony settled in these (British) islands”. (pp 246, Part 1, Vol. VI, 'Antiquities of India’). ~ "The Druids of the ancient Celtic world have a startling kinship with the brahmins of the Hindu religion and were, indeed, a parallel development from their common Indo-European cultural root which began to branch out probably five thousand years ago. It has been only in recent decades that Celtic scholars have begun to reveal the full extent of the parallels and cognates between ancient Celtic society and Vedic culture The very name Druid is composed of two Celtic word roots which have parallels in Sanskrit. Indeed, the root vid for knowledge, which also emerges in the Sanskrit word Veda, demonstrates the similarity. The Celtic root dru which means "immersion" also appears in Sanskrit. So a Druid was one immersed in knowledge." Peter Beresford Ellis - Historian and novelist. ~ The Greeks were always speaking of India as the sacred territory of Dionysus and historians working under Alexander the Greek clearly mentions chronicles of the Puranas as sources of the myth of Dionysus." Alain Danielou - 1907-1994. ~ “Is it not probable that the Brahmins were the first legislators of the earth, the first philosophers, the first theologians ? The Greeks, before the time of Pythagoras, travelled into India for instruction.” ~ Voltaire. ~ Nearly all the philosophical and mathematical doctrines attributed to Pythagoras are derived from India. ~ Ludwig von Shroeder ~ It is true that even across the Himalayan barrier India has sent to the West, such gifts as grammar and logic, philosophy, fables, hypnotism and chess, and above all numerals and the decimal system.” Will Durant - American Historian. ~ The history of how Indian fairy tales and fables migrated from one country to another to nearly all the people of Europe and Asia and even to African tribes from their original home in India borders on the marvellous. It is not a case of single stories finding their way by way of mouth ..... from India to other countries but of whole Indian books becoming through the medium of translations the common property of the world .... many fairy tales current among the most various people can be traced to their original home in India - A.A.Macdonell". ~ The oldest Greek writers, observes Sir William Jones, allow that their mythologies were not their own invention (As. Res. III. 467) ; and it is now certain that the early divinities and legends of Greece were the same that were possessed by their brethren in India. If Hegel calls the discovery of the common origin of Greek and Sanskrit the discovery of a new world, the same may be said with regard to the common origin of Greek and Sanskrit mythology “ The legends of the Old Testament - Thomas Lumisden Strange. ~ Mark Twain, American author: "India is, the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grand mother of tradition. our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only." ~ Will Durant, American historian: "India was the motherland of our race, and Sanskrit the mother of Europe's languages: she was the mother of our philosophy; mother, through the Arabs, of much of our mathematics; mother, through the Buddha, of the ideals embodied in Christianity; mother, through the village community, of self-government and democracy. Mother India is in many ways the mother of us all". ~ In the Vedic language we have the foundation, not only of the glowing legends of Hellas (Greece), but of the dark and sombre mythology of the Scandinavian and the Teuton" (Cox, Mythology of the Aryan Nations, I., 52, 53). ~ Takshashila University Taxila as it is called today, Takshashila University established around 2700 years ago was home to over 10500 students where the students from all across the world used to come to attain specialization in over 64 different fields of study like vedas, grammar, philosophy, ayurveda, agriculture, surgery, politics, archery, warfare, astronomy, commerce, futurology, music, dance, etc. Famous graduates of this university include the ones like Chanakya, Panini, Charaka, Vishnu Sharma, Jivaka, etc. This is the world’s oldest university. ~ India - the land of Vedas, the remarkable works contain not only religious ideas for a perfect life, but also facts which science has proved true. Electricity, radium, electronics, airship, all were known to the seers who founded the Vedas. ~ Wheeler Wilcox. ~ Gravitation was known to the Indians before the birth of Newton. The system of blood circulation was discovered by them centuries before Harvey was heard of. ~ P. Johnstone ~ "This is an attempt to show that the Druids were the priests of Oriental colonies who emigrated from India and were the introducers of the first or Cadmean system of letters and the builders of Stonehenge, of Carnac, and of other Cyclopean works in Asia and Europe”. Godfrey Higgins "The Celtic Druids” ~ Grant Duff 1789 - 1858: "Many of the advances in the sciences that we consider today to have been made in Europe, were in fact made in India centuries ago." ~ “The affinity between the Greek language and the old Parsee and Sanskrit is certain and essential. The use of cognate idioms prove that the nations who used them to have descended from the same stock. That the religion of the Greeks emanated from an Eastern shore no-one will deny. We must therefore suppose the religion, as well as the language of Greece to have been derived, in great part, largely from the east”. Dr Prichard - Physical History Of Man. ~ “I take issue with the old school of thought that the cultural and civic life we Westerners enjoy originated in the works of Greek and Roman philosophers. Instead the mind and soul that inspired our words sprang from neither Greece nor Rome, but from an Indo/euro homeland located much further north. In truth according to my studies the history of we Westerners does not begin with the Greeks, we were invented along with the Greeks by Vedic poet seers through their mother tongue, Sanskrit, which evolved into Greek and Latin, which are simple phonetic variants of it.“ Franco Rendich - Indo/European etymology ~ Each of the fifty letters in the Sanskrit alphabet corresponds to one of the fifty petals on chakras one through six, from the base of the spine to the brow. The sacred Vedic texts known as the Upanishads describe the ability of advanced spiritual adepts to actually ‘see’ the letters on the petals of the chakras. When a Sanskrit mantra is uttered, the petals corresponding to the letters in the words of the mantra vibrate in spiritual resonance” Author - Thomas Ashley Farrand

@@jacobwarrentaylor876 yes, men did practice Seiðr, but it was very shameful and unmannly to do so. Men who did practice Seiðr openly were shamed as perverts and degenerate. In Lokasana Loki shamed Odin for practicing Seiðr. The shameful truth was so effective that Frigga had to come to her husband's defence. Imagine that, Odin so shamed by his actions he was left silent.

@Jakub-kw1rx What was the point of all that. It has nothing to do with this music. Its from a time before Jesus was born. In a place far away from the middle east. From people who had nothing to do with the single god you were referring to. nothing....zero... so im sorry you wasted time cutting and pasting that list of names and pointless story. These people knew/know more about peace, love, health and kindness then all the "Christians" trying to force feed other people their beliefs.

@@ianzander5057 Thank you for that. I agree, it’s maddening how much some people insist on dragging the Bible into situations where it has zero relevance. Christians, especially Evangelicals and especially American evangelicals aren’t doing themselves any favors. The US isn’t a theocracy, they need to keep religion out of politics and out of people’s private lives. I’m looking forward to a totally secular society where an atheist has just as much chance of becoming president as anyone else. Sorry…I kind of went off on a tangent there. 😆😏

Because it speaks directly to your ancient latent spirit and being. this kind of slow methodical beat combined with the lyrics invoke the long slumbering tribal inclusion that was the everyday life in pre-Roman northern Europe. Every one had a job and something to do to improve the lives of fellow tribe members. this kind of ceremony/music speaks directly to our shared primal instincts. Be proud that this speaks to you on a visceral level, many can't comprehend what this is.

I'm coming to the theory ,that the background drumming rather matches at times a heartbeat,,now strobe lights at concerts etc have to be carefully controlled,and kept away from certain frequencies as they can pull the bodies internal /brain freq. in line with the strobe,inducing seizures in some people,I wonder if the /freq./beat, of the drum beats may to some extent do something like that, altering just a bit the mood and feelings.

Heilung certainly puts the "show" back in showmanship! They've obviously gone to great lengths to make their music special, but have also put a lot of effort into crafting such wonderfully unique and creative instruments and costumes. The latter enhances the experience of their live performances so much. At a time when stages are dominated by towering and uninspiring speaker cabinets, flashy new instruments, shiny drum hardware, etc., this band _really_ stands out. As a life-long musician, I really appreciate (and applaud) their efforts to create a great experience for their audience.

Mike Nickerson, the other guy is right. This is modern music, it was made in modern times and conforms to modern sensibilities. We don't really know what Germanic music from the iron-age and dark age was like. It likely wasn't like this, it was likely more folksy and happy. They'd listen to it while drinking in some beerhall. It's not like they were grim goths. Well, some of them were literally goths, but you know what I mean.

This song has touched me deeply. I can't help but have watery eyes and tears running down my cheeks listening to this. Especially when Maria sings her voice is so soothing. Voice of an angel I could listen to all day. The chanting done mid track was amazing, makes me feel like I have an inner warrior wanting to get out. I hope 1 day I can learn this language. I discovered that I feel more at peace and collective as if I know myself a lot better then before. This feeling is strange and confuses me. I don't understand or know why this song has these effects on me. After 2 tracks I'm hooked. Heilung has gained another fan.

Irish, German, Polish blood flows in my veins. Although, my taste in music has always run eclectic. This, music touches my soul. It's, brilliance immerses you into a world I, am very much in tuned with yet, it's tongue is not native to me. Yet, it's song is native to my heart. It, invokes a deep emotional response if I let it. And, it's fun. Looks, like a great show and, Maria Franz has a 'great set of pipes'. What a beautiful voice. What, a talented group of people. True artists. Such a breath of fresh air from the corporate sociopathic ghetto 'elevator' music that is shoved down our (well, not 'mine'.) throats in the US for the last couple of decades. Sadly, it gives the term 'like beating a dead horse' new meaning. And, they wonder why the youth are killing themselves? Why, life seems to have lost its value, but it hasn't really. By definition it can't. Only by false decries and, unjust algorithms can you be led to believe so.
