I think the woman who introduced Heilung at the start of the video is the actress who portrays Senua in the games.

they casted her after just having her as a stand in for senua. she did so well that they decided just to use her instead. she won awards for her performance.

@@nuummiti yup, she was already a ninja theory employee who they used as a stand in and then she absolutely crushed the role so obviously they weren’t gonna try to cast someone else for the role. Her performance in the first game is an all timer video game performance and it’ll likely be the same for the 2nd too

Heilung's music is pretty wild. I have been to a concert with them a couple of times when they have been through Denmark. Several of their concerts are like being part of a prehistoric ritual. It's not just music, it's a total performance 🙂

The first Hellblade game is a masterpiece in storytelling. Has amazing music as well although it's not by Heilung. I hope you'll enjoy your experience playing it!

In Ancient times when the most basic instruments were discovered and invented, Voice was the center piece of all and most of the ancient cultures have very similar styles and vocals. Love this Folk music. We that have ancient roots in them can feel this connection when we hear it. It goes straight to the soul like thunder calling.

Hellblade is an outstanding game. It depicts a celtic warrior in a norse world, so yeah, that theme fits Heilung perfectly. As if the game was written for the band or the band came up with the game idea, so it's so great, that game and band found together. If you play the first one, be aware, there are two things people bounce of. The first are the somewhat clunky mechanics, that will be improved on in the second on, I'm sure. But the second one is more important, as it's the actual content of the game, and the reason, is has such a warm place in many peoples hart. The reason, this is a classic that now get's the whole tripple A budget sequel: Mental health. The main character suffers from psychosis and it's depicted in the game like never before, like even movies could not. They worked with a specialized therapist and several people, who experience psychoctic episodes to make sure, the game does it as realistic as possible. All the illusions blend so well, you never know whats real and whats just her imagination. Alle the voices in her head, telling her things, she "needs" to know, or things she doesn't want to hear, help her, hinder her, mock her, sooth her... at some point you as the gamer feel like one of them, like one of the voices guiding her to her destiny or to her doom. And that can be extremly overwhelming.

Oh you should absolutely get into more Hellblade! That game is an insane masterpiece and Hellblade 2 looks to be a worthy successor. Melina Juergens who introduced Heilung here, is av ideo editor for the game's developer Ninja Theory and more importantly, also performs the main Character Senua. She basically became my favourite actress right there and then when I played Hellblade. Even seeing her perform the parts outside the game engine in a greenroom and full motion capture gear, I get chills every time because she makes ME hurt inside. just amazing.

Senua is the most spirited and mystical character who has traveled all the circles of Hell in search of his love. This story is worthy of admiration.

I experienced Heilung in Los Angeles on Dec. 11. Freaking awesome. Be there when they're available, near or far, you won't regret going.

Heilung have actively collaborated on the whole soundtrack of Hellbalde II. I tried to play Hellblade I but just couldn't get into the combat mechanics. I'll probably watch playthroughs of the first game and play part II.

Hellblade one is fantastic and very emotional. By the way Hellblade one was a very small indie game budget while this new one Hellblade 2 has a triple AAA budget thanks to Xbox acquiring them. They said the combat is revamped and the game is much much bigger than the first. First game is a gem and deals with mental disorder.
