I just received my SKX Bronze watch. It took a couple of weeks to get it but will worth the wait. It keeps better time then my Seiko SKX and it is way more comfortable with the rubber straps they ship with the watch. I will definitely be buying another watch from them

I have a Tuna homage from them, quality is outstanding. I'd never buy the original Tuna for the money they're asking for it, but for $160 with expedited shipping to my doorstep it was a no brainer.

I would love an SKX013 homage from Sharkey. I have the San Martin 62 mas and I think that Sharkey, San Martin, Heimdalr, and Merkur are all kind of the same.

I have recently purchased a Sharkey Turtle, and written a review on Watchuseek. I have compared it with Seiko SKX009, and to be honest, even at half the price it is a better watch. Unfortunately, like you, I had to pay customs charges.

I've got a bronze 62 mas by Heimdallr and it's a great bit of kit. Beautiful finish, great lume, the waffle strap is waaaay better quality than the Uncle Seiko one I bought for another watch - I'd definitely buy from them again.

What is their waffle strap made of? Is it silicone? I bought a waffle from AliExpress that was supposed to be a Sharkey waffle and it was super soft but attracts dust like crazy.

I bought one of their bronze watches and the bronze bezel pip was catching on my inside shirt sleeve, then eventually fell off after 1.5 days, so I sent 2 messages to Heimdallr via their site's link, but they've just ignored me, so they don't have ANY support from what I've experienced. They probably only replied to you because of your KZbin channel!

I have both the sharkey and the Seiko. The Sharkey is twice the watch. I put them both on the time graph, and the Sharkey make the Seiko look like a poor excuse.

I discovered this brand a little too late after I purchased my SKX. Far more better specs and almost half the price of the modded ones...also super good looking watches in thier catalog.

I love my green SKX from them, I have modded it with a domed sapphire and also a ceramic green bezel. Just finishes it off nicely.

I really like the look of this watch. To me the old Seiko is just that - old! I get people might still like the ability to mod, etc (I’m a Vostok fan so go figure, lol) but there are better watches out there. I mean, you can’t even hand wind the watch? Hacking is nice to have, but hand winding, especially on a mechanical dive watch is essential! Now here’s the rub, do I splash out on a Sharky or see if I can get a Mini Turtle ? What is the water resistance like on these good looking Chinese pieces? I don’t scuba anymore but I’d like to swim and snorkel on holiday with a watch like this. Any thoughts, anyone?

Yes and no. The new versions this seems the case however the older modules such as the hulk are still compatible. However how long that will be the case is a mystery.

Why would you buy an skx anyway. Hardlex, non handwinding or hacking movement poor accuracy. Sapphire and hacking and handwinding should be expected.

Heimdallr are beating Seiko at there own game. Even when Seiko do watches to the same spec they are 500-600 pound plus.

You can't change the crown for a Seiko one, the stem tube is too small which is a shame. However i don't know if they have changed this one the latest ones :)

You would need to use the Heimdallr crown and stem but other than that yes. The movement holder is also the same now so don't even have to swop them out.
