I personally believe the coach is trying to build our national team, I see the improvements in various areas. I also believe he's trying to get the best players but just look at what just happened with Bailey, he's getting a fight. Look at England, Southgate has been with them since 2016 and they have some of the best players money can buy and they're still struggling to beat subpar teams. Our Coach has only been with us for less than 2 years?? and we almost won the Gold Cup, that's not bad. I think he deserve some time to get it right, give him some grace. We struggle to get 2nd balls in midfield, struggle to pass the ball through midfield, struggle to win the ball back in midfield. Its simple maths, if you play 2 against 3 in midfield, you will struggle to work the ball through there. You will struggle to win the ball there and 2nd balls, you are 2nd favourite by sheer maths. Add to that, the 2 you play in there, 1 is an attacking midfielder that is not used to playing deep and can't tackle. One is a natural striker that was small and with the 1 up top situation, at most clubs, he was moved out wide and then became a utility player. Reid never played cm in his entire life. Now you are outnumbered in midfield and the 2 you have are not central midfield players. Simple maths. If you play 3 at the back, play 5 across midfield. Wing backs and 3 in the middle. That will give you a chance to compete better off the ball, protect better, pick up 2nd balls and have more options to pass it when you have it. Play 352. Two forwards. Antonio or Boza. Not both. Play Gray up front running either side of the centre forward. Same way Brentford have done with mbuemo and Toney. Same way Holland did with van persie and robben. I want my best attacking player, Gray, as close to the goal as possible and in space, not tracking back. The coach is a coward. 100%. He started Boza on the right wing lol. It does not matter who the better player is, it only matters who the best man for the particular job. If you playing 433, is boza better on the wing than cephas, NO. 0 out of 10 for Howgayson.

I don't think it's the coach's fault for doing the 3 subs. What about the players having the right mindset when coming into an intense game, with proper communication with those already on the pitch. If those 3 subs had done well defensively we wouldn't be criticizing the coach. The game was intense. Defense need fresh legs. For me they played well. The team is growing. I'm seeing more passing and urgency in their build up and less long ball than with many other coaches. This is how grim wants them to play. Coach can only coach. Players execute! These are professional players. You should always be mentally prepared when your # is called! I love that little kid energy and style. Reminds me of young Walter Boyd. His future is bright!
