Thanks for the caveat on #4 - obviously if a man says from the start that he doesn't want a relationship, then you should walk away. What's harder is when you're already involved/attached and the man doubts his life purpose (per se). We ladies are often gracious enough to accept a man in the position he's currently at, but we cannot "cheerleader" a man forward to figure out what he really wants to do with his life (or how to do it)!!!

Wow. This was incredibly insightful especially about how men will tend to assume a woman is already attached. I must admit, I tend to make the exact same assumptions with men and more often than not, I'll look down and then see a wedding ring and I'll say to myself 'Yeah, thought so." Hold space for each others fears and need to be spoken openly and not judge as we learn to listen, as both become vulnerable it helps not a ego space but a sincere space of speaking, and no one needs to punish by reacting after asking to speak the truth. We really need to be like therapists for each other, learning these skills are important.

#4 is so common. I come across this one so often in dating men. I love this advice to ask him, "What does "being ready for a relationship" look like for you? Also #5 early relationship emotional trauma or past relationship trauma is real for men. Hold space to let him be vulnerable by hearing what he has to say and ask him about his fears and let him know that you won't judge him or punish him but rather you accept him for who he is right now. I have been dating a man for some time, he's a great guy, we have an amazing connection and #4 and #5 really describe him. This was so helpful for me to understand him better. I'm inspired by this video to have a deeper discussion with him and hopefully he feels safe with me as I give him space to open up and emotionally connect with him from my heart.

I feel like there’s so much confusion on who should make the first initial contact because we are always hearing about how we women should be in our feminine energy and receptive mode to allow a man to approach us and come into our lives.

The guy I was in a relationship with who was committed to me communicated his lack of readiness about 3 years in...and the reason was because he is concerned that he would lose himself, lose his identity in a relationship and because he doesn't own a house. He was and remains stuck and I had to let him go. I was becoming stuck with him, annoying myself while waiting for the next steps in my life to be taken with him. I still grieving, but grieving has been easier than the infinite wait to make decisions in my life. Some days I take steps and make strides towards my personal goals, some days I just grieve. But no days am I just waiting anymore. Using all my energy to wait and be fun. I asked him his fears, he told me and I waited another 3 years for him to take steps to process and decide what to do. Me leaving was not a punishment to him, it was necessary for my sanity - present and future. The guy must take steps forward after sharing the vulnerable stuff or we have to move on.

Wow, such a great video! It made me think that I am guilty for our separation :( That I could’ve been less prideful and try to ask him more questions and create a safer space to open up, instead of stopping to reach out… But know he found himself new girl. Thanks for this video. I always love hearing from both of you. I just have one uncertain question/statement. They are afraid to approach me...yet they go and approach someone else...and rather have a unhealthy unhappy relationship with her than a healthy, happy relationship with me. I know I shouldn't take it personally. The thing is why do they keep their energy on me or keep texting me. If they don't want a relationship with me (I have seen your other videos regarding something similar). Yes, it means they are not really interested in me. But then why are their energy still coming towards me. Why not just leave me alone. It's just super irritating.
