I never wanted to get into these types of markers until I saw this video! 😂 The colors are lovely.

Thank you Helen for the insight on how to use these markers ❤ I bought the tin that comes with the 5 main colours and used just once… I will try out your idea 😊

Thank you! I'm by no means very experienced with them - hope you find ways to enjoy them!

I just bought a set of these pens after watching Sandi Hester's video yesterday. It was great to see you swatching more of the colours and incorporating them into a sketch. Thankyou.

Oh wow the colors are really nice! I love to use watercolor markers for anatomy and thumbnails sketches to help me figure out the values

Yeah, these really are gorgeous pens! I need to use them for more stuff. It felt so scary using such bold colours in a sketch, but I don't want to keep playing safe.

I have the pack of 24 from Amazon coming ( Mother’s Day ) . Love the green in the artwork at the end of your video Helen , absolutely beautiful and vibrant. Also I would like to say there is a video from a lady on KZbin and she got some Paul Rubén’s 14 pack of neon watercolour paints and they were amazing, I’ve also ordered them for Mother’s Day for me from Amazon because they are running out of stock . Not sure if you like neon watercolours but these do look amazing, the lady did a swatch and some artwork with them and used them with other watercolour paints. Loved your video and I’ve had my eyes on these watercolour pens from Winsor & Newton for a long while and your video gave me the push to get them , looking forward to using them , thankyou for sharing your video Helen .

Oooh - I hope you really enjoy them!! Every time I get mine out I remember how much I love them! Someone told me Sandi Hester did a video with them, and she also bought some Albrecht Durer watercolour markers - I think I might need to get a couple of those too, in the more muted shades which aren't done in the Winsor and Newton range. I'll definitely go to and check out the Paul Reubens - they sound fun! Thanks!

Thank you for clarifying the name change for me. I was wondering what the difference was between watercolour markers and watercolour pro markers in their range.🤗🌹🎨

I'm not sure the name change is a good idea - I hope people won't confuse them for the original Winsor and Newton Promarkers which are alcohol ink markers.

Do you still use them? And do they leave a line on Arches? I tend to overbuy, so I’m curious. Thanks for the video!

Sorry for the delay in replying - I wanted to get them both out to try. I don't use the pens very much, but still enjoy them occasionally. On the Arches they leave a shadow of where the original pen is, but wash out pretty well. This is similar with most OK watercolour papers. The shadow is minimal when you wash the pen out while it's still wet. Two drawbacks with the Arches though - one is that its surface pills fairly easily, so it won't take a lot of firm brushing if you're trying to scrub away the pen marks, and the second is that if you're using cold pressed, it's very rough, and you'll wreck the pen nibs quite quickly on it.
