I grew up in South Florida and had many experiences. Moved to Georgia and when I say her winds were howling she wasn't playing.. My family and I jumped in the tub and continued to pray. Trees were uprooted and without water and power for 5 days. I Thank God for all those men and women sent to help us. Prayers up for others hit with the same storm. Nov 30 can't come fast enough for hurricane season to be over.

day 6 of no power here 👎 so thankful my family was able to get a generator. so many friends have trees in their houses & from what i’ve heard augusta flooded and got torn up so bad that they moved the people in the dorms to another college for now. there was 106 trees down in my neighborhood from what i could see walking and my neighborhood is only 6 houses so i can’t imagine the damage elsewhere. stay safe everyone

Augusta here... and yeah, it's bad. The storm was horrific. Unimaginable damage, never knew wind was capable of doing some of the things I've seen. Every home has a down tree (or trees) on it, and prob one in every three homes has a large tree going through it. Crushed and totaled cars everywhere. Power poles snapped and webbed across every street. However clean up is going good. I'm surprised at how fast crews have gotten to work. Many of the main roads are almost clear, just no traffic lights yet. The ones that weren't ripped down by the storm have no power 🙄 On the flip side, ppl are starting to go nuts. Lootings and shootings, nobody cares about the curfew. Some parts of town are just devastated by storm damage and they're trying to pick up the pieces. Others are devastated by storm damage, but have decided to kick it up a notch and start getting crazy. I'm sure it'll be bad again tonight, esp since they sent emergency announcements to all the phones saying that 911 call centers/services are down in Richmond and Aiken Co. Folks are looting damaged/vacant homes, stealing rims and tires off brand new cars on the car lots, and somebody already got blasted over some gas... 😔 I hope these ppl chill out soon.

I want every Georgian to remember this next month. Look at the ballot, and realize this: One candidate abandoned you, then her supporters are mocking your deaths. The other candidate personally flew to the zones of disaster to provide aid and morale and his supporters are donating millions towards rescue and feeding efforts.

It is really a no brainer. Vote Trump. He will be there through the good times and the disasters. Sounds like some areas received immediate help through volunteers and church groups…not the government, while many other areas have citizens who are stranded, injured, without essentials, or homeless…and still waiting. others

A judge in Georgia has struck down the state's abortion law that has prohibited abortions after six weeks of pregnancy since it took effect in 2022. Georgia's Life Act was fully nullified by Judge Robert McBurney's decision, meaning that the state must now allow abortions up to 22 weeks of pregnancy. GA Governor has legalized the killing of innocent babies; those babies shed blood have also cried out to God.

Are you not aware that 2 young women in GA died recently because they needed a DNC for infection and they were left to die needlessly. Because the Drs are afraid to go to jail! They bled to death and left behind young children who are now motherless. That's horrific!

LOOK at the devastation hurricane Helene has done, they need help and hope they get it
