We went to check out the UN building to see if there was anything ahead of the UN General Assembly - there wasn't, so we filmed some helicopters, trucks, emergency vehicles and landmarks along 34th Street instead. Featuring the fire trucks, police cars, ambulances and utility vehicles of New York City.

Cool video! HMX-1 came by for a practice run today (JFK->JRB) around 3pm EST, with the [now legacy] VH-3Ds, and three Ospreys. The Ospreys went straight back from JRB to JFK, and the two Sea Kings came up north over the East River and did a loop around Manhattan, after landing at JRB, and sitting for a bit. I snapped some shots from my apartment window, right over Domino Park. Surprisingly had a ton of heat haze; as severe as I've ever seen it! EDIT: Also, that commuter S-92 loooves pulling in nice and cozy to the building I live in, when it's heading northbound. I got some cool shots of that one too, over the past few months. :D

I went to NYC with my father and grandmother in 2002. I was about 17 at the time. I took a ton of photos which unfortunately are all gone when my laptop went dead years ago. I've been to the top of the Empire State Building and visited Ground Zero, saw the infamous steel Cross, and the Church across the street from it. Incredibly moving experience. I have a love/hate relationship with NYC. On one hand, it's an amazing city where you feel so small and yet so big at the same time. It's truly the city that never sleeps. On the other hand, I hate the politics and corruption of the city's leadership that seems to have no end, and I especially hate that this leadership is responsible in large part for the enormous increase in crime. The city is victimizing its own citizens, and it kills me. An amazing place, for all its faults. I hope to go there again one day when money allows. Thanks for the video!

Penn Station was the cross town twin of Grand Central Station , that was torn down to build Madison Square Garden. It was ex first lady Jaqueline Kennedy Onassus who fought to preserve Grand Central Station as a national historical landmark. The New Moynihan train station on 8th avenue and 34th street , opposite Madison Square Garden, was supposed to evoke memories of the old Penn Station, but its very underwhelming. That area is being planned for new development by New York State. Skyline of the city is constantly changing, its just never stagnant. Theyve even talked about moving Madison Square Garden to 10th ave in order to fully redevelop the Penn Station complex, but that remains to be seen.

It’s not a helipad. It’s the E.34th Street Heliport, in midtown Manhattan, on the East River. It can accommodate up to four helicopters.

You should do in depths on the weapons used….you’d gain a huge following as many gun enthusiasts are very interested in what various agencies (units in the military) use!

United Nations is likely empty as all the Diplomats have left the city , probably to Long Island, to get ready for the week ahead. Poor president still has to work as hes meeting the other Quad leaders at his home in Delaware before the UNGA. Poor guy cant seem to get any rest.
