Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Okay. Let's bring back fighters vs cargo plane, but with the new toys. Fighters get armed with one blaster OR dual smartguns, designers choice. Cargo plane gets 1 shield generator and 12 power cores worth of defensive armaments.

I said it on yzuei’s page also. First idea- Emp hover crafts, because they will dip into water and be done so fast. Second idea-Emp submarines where you might crash into ground or if you surface above water you lose. Using large ballast tanks that don’t have buttons to turn them on only turn off, so there isn’t accidental turn on, but if hit they will start moving you towards water surface really fast.

You could try a race wih vehicles held together with disconnect blocks, on a key you don't use. Then give everyone an EMP to shoot with.

Challenge idea : Orbital bombardment of an escaping land vehicle. Rules - attacking player must stay above a certain height and only use EMP weapons. Cockpit/viewpoint is to be downward facing only. Evading player is unarmed, but must have a number of explosive blocks onboard. No shields. Goal for the attacker is to set off the bomb blocks before the evading player can get from point A to point B, or around a lap of a course.

EMP vs Self-Destructing builds. You have the standard chance of taking out a vehicle by its controls getting messed up, but also have a chance to trigger the creation to explode. This would be longer lived in a Tank Battle, but could be in any of the aerial or space combats as well. Also, King of the Hill with EMP would be crazy. And would also be made hella interesting if there was a triggered explosive to add chaos into the mix.

Props to the editor for adding in a very quiet helicopter blade spinning sound. Edit: You could do a tank battle where you have shields, and you're only allowed to hit the shield with an EMP to take it out in order to damage what the shield is protecting with ballistic weaponry

EMP Tank with explosives inside, and every round the number of dynamite increases so the chance always increases every round.

Wanted to mention that at the start, when you were testing gyro stabilizers, they didn't work because they weren't on. They are on by default, and by sending a signal to them, they were turned off. To fix this, you could just no send the signal, or there is a checkbox that says off by default, which needs to be checked.

Perhaps try to make custom missiles (in the style of ICBM's) but the other person has to defend against them using EMP's to mess up the controls of the missile and steer it off course.

is it possible to make a boat that will explode if it goes too slow? give the boat buoyancy blocks to bring it in the water to slow it down and/or thrusters to be toggled, then attack it with emps, see who last the longest. give you the trifecta, land sea sky. either way merry christmas to you and yours.

Suggestion: orbital duel, each of you build something to launch and enter orbit around the asteroid in the space map, then fire at each other with the various weapons, difference being, you can't adjust your course intentionally after the battle start. Being destroyed or flung out of orbit is a loss.

Hey scrap man, watching you test the gyros brought back an old idea that I never suggested back when you were replicating vehicles from old documents and what not. What if you took a gyro and pistons and moved the point that the gyro spins on back and fourth while switching directions to achieve lift. EMP Flak vs bombers. Bombers can only drop with an altitude sensor restricted trigger (so they can't just atmosphere drop outside the EMP range) and the EMP Flak cannon is like 5-10 EMPs with a quarter second delay between all of them so it's a real splash of EMP out there. Bombers get to respawn as much as they want AND the EMP flak gets 2 energy shields because that may hurt or help them depending on how they react and make the rounds a bit longer. Bonus on that would be you get to create your own TNT laden great bomba and drop those instead of using the bomb bays. So you get to drop from a higher altitude, but there's a good chance the EMP will trigger the bomb mid air. It's like that trope of the barehanded sword catch, except you're trying to catch a bomb with EMP as it's dropping at terminal velocity and you're banking on that your EMP will randomly trigger the correct thing to save you.

4 player emp battle idea: 2v2 attacker and defender style Attackers either have an attack helicopter or a jet, armed with an emp and 75-100 block build limit Defenders have a giant helicopter with an emp gunner, block limit of 150-250 (depending on what you see fit) Defenders must stay below a certain altitude so they aren’t invincible to emps, feel free to choose the alititude

Video idea: emp battles but with one anti-air vehicles and one plane, planes can only have one emp and unlimited repairs, while the anti-air vehicle get 2 emp and no repairs , with a maximum speed of 150KPH and a block limit of 150 but only for the anti-air vehicle (planes cant have more blocks than 150)

Hovercraft EMP racing. Make a track that requires going over both land and sea, hills and flatlands, toss in some jumps for good measure, and make it so land and sea are about 50/50 so that if you get EMPed on the water and sink, youll have to go back to a previous land mass to respawn your craft.

How about EMP Battle with creations that have built in points of failure? Like Detachable Blocks that drop weapons or functional parts/power cores, or even a main self destruct. EMP would add some level of chance as to how much permanent damage each shot might have on each round.

Okay, now hear me out. 2v2 Space Station vs. Fighter crafts. The space station is allowed Two layered shielding, but is immobile, and the players in the station both act as gunners. While the fighters are not allowed EMP guns but can use up to three blasters each. Each team's players work together to design a station and then design their own fighter crafts to destroy their opponent's station.

Has any other trailmakers player realized that using an OR gate makes the EMP redundant against you. The reason the EMP is redundant is because, even with toggle on, the different parts are by default off unless the OR gate is on. Just a fun fact.

`8:55 I'd say that the first round was done using melee, so I'm not completely sure that SM lost it. That said, I'm always rooting for SM, so my opinion isn't exactly the best to ask.
