No it was a regular Stanfield with hi-vis stripes heat pressed on to it. It’s from a local company my dad started years ago. He sold it about 15yr ago.

The first time a helicopter lands on the helipad, it must kick up a lot of dust, dirt and chips ? Thanks for another interesting, informative video. Stay safe.

how much fuel/ oil do you carry on a mission like that?
@BjarneButler
@BjarneButler 2 күн бұрын
A full set. 10L gas and 3.78L oil. But we never use it all, I’d say the average is 4-5hrs to build a pad

Looks like you got some snow in a few spots, or is it just hoar frost? Or is it just some discolouration on the video?

There was some wet snow higher up but it wasn’t much. This was last shift, there’s a bunch of snow there now

Just wondering, do you or any of your crew ever get stranded overnight due to weather or problems with the helicopter?
@BjarneButler
@BjarneButler 2 күн бұрын
I have been stranded but it has happened. Everyone one knows a story of someone getting stranded overnight.
