Great product there. Glad you shared it here. Have you completed a review on the the BRKT Bushcrafter? Keep up the great work Joe.

If you sectored it up in the first year you might have found it with a rake. But now i guess a metal detector would be the best option. It's actually interesting would the light still work after all this time.

sux you lost your flashlight bro! that lanyard is pretty nice! lot right up n seems like a good product. ive been wanting to get me a roll of the firecord n make some lanyards.

You'll never find it without a metal detector. It's buried under 5 years of leaves and such. I have 2 metal detectors but I don't suppose you live anywhere close to me, Northeastern Maryland? What model Fenix is it? I would love to know if that flashlight would still work! Being as you know it has to be in that relatively small area, here is an idea for a cheapo metal detector that might work... go and get yourself a magnetic stud finder. Duct tape it to a stick and slowly walk in a search pattern keeping the stud finder close to ground level. Practice with it on a known target so you'll know in advance what the reaction will be when you do find the flashlight. Good luck and keep us posted;-) Jim...

Jim, you are a genius! I have 3 stud finders. I see a multi"prong" approach in my near future! The flashlight was a PD32 I think. Maybe a 35. Like I said, I don't remember for sure. Thank you very much for the idea man! I actually have hope :)

Glad I could help. It would be great to film the historic event when you find that illusive flashlight;-) Just think of the publicity it could bring to the folks at Fenix if she still works after being buried for 4 years, LOL! Good luck and I wish I could be there when you find it;-) Jim

Good idea, but for the hiding Fenix do you know anyone who might lend you a metal detector? That might work, but I have a feeling that the light is likely destroyed by battery leakage if it had alkaline batts..

have you tried a metal detector to find that flwslight?
@jonathanstokes84937 жыл бұрын
That would have sucked if the lanyard cam off when you threw your knife. 😂 I do have a question about a knife that will be shipped our the end of February to the beginning of March. You should know of this knife since you are into fire craft.

Take a roll of bank line and box off your search area then grid it in to columns. Now go get a friends metal detector and search one grid at a time. (Grid lines should be about 5 to 6 foot wide... the range of your side to side swing with the detector.)

have you ever thought about using a metal detector to find it?
@feralwoodcraft7 жыл бұрын
penny parker Yea. I can rent one for 75 bucks or buy even a cheapo one for about the cost of the light. So, I eventually just replaced the light.
@pennyparker64257 жыл бұрын
Maybe you have a couple friends that might have one lol anyway I'm really liking that lanyard the way shaped it really does look like DNA
