Not everyone wants their knife slightly stuck. Sometimes it's okay just to have a little foldy flap thingAnd then once I'm done it comes out easily instead of having to tug on it

You messed up putting a lid on the bottom can, I do it without a lid on the collection can and works great, with a full one gallon paint can, I get 8-10 oz per burn…

I have had a fun experience with my probably Chinese made ferro rod. It came with its own striker which is so very difficult to get a spark with. I eventually tried the back of my folding saw blade and much better sparks were produced. Continuing with this experiment I have found that the back edge of childrens scissors (mine are Faber Castell) which I use in my first aid kit are the best at producing really good sparks.

Great video , I’m ordering one today . I’d like to know where in America you are from . I’ve just realised most of the Americans I’m subscribed to have your accent . It’s easy to listen to and the words are weighed it seems like .

Excellent information! Question about initial igniters. Do you think placing a waxed cotton round in there and lighting that would also stay lit long enough to ignite the wood pellets?

If u use your knives you will never ever be able to just use a strop to keep your knife sharp period eventually it will have to be put to a stone or something that cuts steel. Thanks for the video though.

The Idea I had while watching this. Could you get a bunch of oil from this method and then use the ash to create LYE. If so, could you combine the stuff to make the most crunchy, down to earth, hippy soap ever?

Don't forget you can get both knives in either Scandi or Saber grind. So, it's really a choice of 4 knives. Unfortunately, I like the thinner tip of the GNS, but the handle of the Genesis. : )

Best overall imo is well made bo staff with one end having bayonet type spear point, other being blunt force end. Reach advantage, great defensive weapon, doubles as walking stick, lots of other uses

It serves no purpose to make an unbiased opinion about something that you leave up to the viewer. How are we supposed to determine whether they are good or not? You are the one who ate them, researched them, and did a video! The truth is, for those who actually want the skinny on these tabs, is that they are not meant to survive off of solely. They help get you by in a pinch if you have nothing else, or they can supplement perhaps an otherwise lacking and insufficient diet of real food.

GNS Handle Style is called the: 'Border Patrol handle' (taken from Randall Knives). Examples include Terava Jarriikapuukko 110 and 140, Peltonen Sissipuukko M95 and some Randalls can be optioned with the handle. IMHO, it is the best handle in the world that gives the best compromise of heavy duty work (75%), then defence (25%). It is a very sure footed and comfortable handle IF done right and imo the GNS was NOT done right. The best working handles have no guards whatsoever, Lagom Bush Knife for example. Where MOSt manufactirers fail at Kepharts, Puukkos and most hard use knives is they make the handles too short. I would rather have a blade shorter than my handle. Blade 3.7". Handle 5". This is perfection for an EDC knife, IMO.
