I recently sold my Reflex and bought a Helix. The Helix is 5 times the bike that the Reflex was.

Really? They’re pretty similar tho. From my understanding the reflex phased out the helix and then became the forza which is still made today

Hello. I have 3 Honda CH250's. Same engine and drivetrain. I have windscreens too. For better visibility I cut them down lower then eye site. I find it a better view and less wind resistance, which means more speed and less buffeting. Oil changes every 5-600 miles with Mobile One 10w30 or 40 and always high test in the tank. One has 41,000+ and the other two less then 10k. They all run the same. Oh, also have tow BMW's K100RS and K1200RS. The scooters are ridden daily for many many years. Best utility vehicles going.

Rode one of these for about 10 years, and in the land of its birth - Tokyo. Best scooter I ever had. Wish I'd never sold it. In Japan they're called "Fusion." I had the SE (Special Edition) model with special graphics and the rear spoiler with built-in brake light. It was the top of the line. How I miss that bike.

I have had three Helix's in 17 years. I love them. My wife and I travel all over New England very comfortably. I do my own maintenance. Its easy to work on with the shop manual. I mount and change my own tires too. Its beats any of Honda's new line of scooters, Yamaha also. I tried a Silverwing. I hated it. Too much power and very hard seat.

Thanks for writing to me. I am up in Greenfield MA. I have watched you videos. Nice job. I had a Silverwing also. And also didn't like it for the same reasons. I would like to find a safe way into Connecticut and check out the scenery. I've ridden in NY, NH, VT and Canada.

The 1994 and later Helix have an upgraded front brake with a caliper that you can change the pads without removing the caliper. Spread the pads and remove the retaining pin then the pads will slide out.

That is great news! Just picked up an 01 that needs pads badly. As easy as the front is to change, I'm thinking the shoes in the rear need changed much more, so they're on the way too. Muffler arriving soon after. This one looks like it was ridden with the intent to finish it off with no maintenance... 16k miles, many bolts subbed or missing. Lolz Gonna be a busy week or two to get her in the road trip mood.

great video man, i just got me a 1996, and was wondering about the cornering of the helix, couldnt find any other video that was as good, now maybe i can relax on some of those hmphh kinda corners, that i let off the throttle on

I wish you'd slow down, I can't watch fast enough to keep up. The Helix is a great bike, I have one. I probably put more miles on it than either of my BMW bikes. Or more time maybe, rather than miles. It's just so handy to run quick trips on. I've daydreamed about doing a vacation on it, it's just so comfortable, I have a backrest added. A bit more top speed would be real nice though. I suppose a Burgman is in the near future for me.

You can watch it more easily by clicking the gear icon for settings, then setting speed to .5 or .25 and it looks like a much more sedate pace. ;)

Hey, im trying to beat traffic by splitting lanes. Is this too bulky? Ive never rode so im looking to get started on a scooter.

Splitting lanes works great while the traffic is moving but be extra careful in stationary traffic because somebody might open their car door.

Johnson Robins, they weight in at 345 lbs they are not light and they are 244 cc's. And the engine makes 19 Horse power. They are very fun to ride and pretty much can go anywhere.

I have 28K on mine. What shocks do you recommend?

Stock. I have tried the aftermarket ones on Ebay and Helixparts dot com. I tried both the standard and lowering shocks. They sucked. I also tried Hagon shocks. They were good while they lasted. Unfortunately they blew out seals within months and were replaced by the company three times before I gave up and went to stock. Stock units work great. Just replace when they get too bouncy.
