Honda helix adjusting rear brakes

We have the same shoes! Lol. I’ve had about 10 pairs in the last 6 years. Little bulky when riding, so I trimmed /ground the outside of the brake pedal even with the rod that goes through the floorboard. That way I can get my foot closer to the center when riding and access the pedal by lifting my foot straight up and to the left instead of having to kick toes out to the right then up and to the left. Thanks for this vid. I do have to press pretty hard to start.

Good job Tony but better check your brake light operation now to make sure it's okay, because when I first got my Helix the only thing I had done by a local cycle shop (because I perform all my other maintenance too) was to purchase 2 new tires plus balanced and install them, they readjusted my back brake petal linkage to eliminate a lot of petal travel also but in the process I discovered that the brake light switch was activated continuously which can be a very dangerous situation because someone behind you might think you have a bright tail light and will not know when you are actually applying the brakes, so I had to work between backing off on the rear linkage adjustment just enough while getting the switch adjustment just right to have a happy working combination of the two.

Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, Cycle trade, is where I would start. Depending what part of the country you're in a sweet bike in good to excellent condition 1500 to 2000 +$. What you find for less than $1500 may require require a bit of mechanical aptitude or restoration. Anyways I just wanted to be helpful call, and help with the KZbin algorithm by commenting. What do you do if you think you locked it up? Came to an intersection last year and back breaks didn't work so I smashed on the front and jack-knifed. Road home in more damage to my pride than anything else. Tried adding fluid and adjusting the break (without the vice grips) now the back wheel doesn't want to turn.....🤷🏾‍♂️ Help plz and great video btw
